The Marian Emergency Response Team actively engaged in the quarterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), yesterday, October 05, showcasing preparedness for emergency situations across campus.

During the Flag Ceremony, MERT guided students and staff through the proper "duck, cover, and hold" procedure. A simulation siren signaled the start of the drill, with MERT immediately taking their posts around the Oval to provide emergency response.

Through initiatives like this, the drill affirms our shared responsibility in ensuring safe and prepared campus for every Marian.

From the opening ceremonies to the final events, the Marian Emergency Response Team successfully provided emergency medical coverage for all delegates, prioritizing the health and well-being of students during the School of Engineering, Architecture, and Information Technology Week festivities held from September 24 to September 26, 2026.

The 6th Marian Emergency Response Team (MERT) Training Day was successfully conducted last September 26. Held at the CICM Open Court, this comprehensive training program fulfilled an essential part of the students' NSTP curriculum by equipping them with critical, life-saving skills.

Facilitated by personnels of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) FO1 Keannu B Calica and Sir Dave Vincent Marcelo, the MERT underwent training focused on:
- Bandaging: Mastering proper wound care, hemorrhage control, and stabilization techniques.
- Emergency Carries: Safe and efficient transport methods for the injured.
- Ambulance Management: Mastering the protocols of operational readiness and mobile medical care.

We extend our utmost commendation to the MERT trainees for their discipline, focus, and commitment to public safety and community disaster resilience.

Gathered at the CICM Open Court last September 12, 2026, the 5th Marian Emergency Response Team (MERT) Training Day was successfully conducted focusing on vital first-aid principles.

Led by the speakers including Sir Melvin Jhon B. Alcalde, RMT, Ma'am Leah B. Guade, RN, and Sir Denmark Soriano the training layout centered on comprehensive lectures followed by immediate practical demonstrations of proper bandaging techniques. Under the close supervision of the speakers and MERT facilitators and officers, the MERT trainees practiced handling various wound scenarios, learning how to properly apply pressure, control severe hemorrhages, and stabilize injuries using standard medical wraps.
