. Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas, through Executive Order No. 2026-68, has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes from preschool to senior high school, including the ALS (both private and public educational institutions), in the Province of Benguet tomorrow, September 3, 2026, due to the inclement weather.

Schools are encouraged to implement appropriate alternative learning modalities and other learning continuity measures, as may be feasible, to ensure that learning activities continue while face-to-face classes are suspended.

TESDA-CAR Acting Regional Director Glenn N. Murphy and TESDA-Benguet Acting Provincial Director Arlene L. Cadalig, together with their staff, paid a courtesy call to Mayor Cesar R. Pasiwen today.

The visit focused on the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Program, a TESDA initiative that provides skills training and assessment through actual workplace-based learning in partnership with qualified enterprises. As part of the visit, the TESDA team also conducted validation of establishments in Mankayan applying to become TESDA-recognized training centers.

CLASS SUSPENSION ADVISORY

Mayor Cesar R. Pasiwen has issued Executive Order No. 59, Series of 2026, suspending face-to-face classes from Preschool to Elementary in all public and private schools in the Municipality of Mankayan on September 2, 2026 (Wednesday) due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Schools are advised to implement appropriate alternative learning modalities during the suspension.

From helping during emergencies to coming together for the community, their simple acts of service remind us that heroism lives in each of us.
