COURTESY VISIT AND LEGAL CONSULTATION

Regional Director JULIETA P. RAÑESES, MNSA, CESO IV, warmly welcomed Mr. Marcelino D. Sigue, Chairperson of the Biñan People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) during a courtesy visit held on July 1, 2026 at the NAPOLCOM CALABARZON Regional Office, Calamba City, Laguna.

Following the courtesy visit, a legal consultation was conducted with Regional Appellate Board Chairperson Atty. Jacinto C. Cabus, PLEB Regional Consultant Atty. Mia Antonette M. Quijano and Laguna PLEB Consultant Atty. Joicel C. Sopeña. The discussion focused on legal matters concerning the functions and responsibilities of the PLEB, reaffirming the commitment of NAPOLCOM CALABARZON and its partners to uphold due process, strengthen police accountability and promote good governance in law enforcement.

The People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) is a local government body that receives and decides administrative complaints against members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

It was created under the Republic Act No. 6975, also known as the Department of the Interior and Local Government Act of 1990.

Its purpose is to strengthen community participation in policing and ensure police accountability.

To educate the public about the functions and powers of PLEB and Inform citizens of their rights when interacting with police officers, Biñan City PLEB Chairman Mar D. Sigue and members of PLEB joins the Barangay Assembly Day of Barangay San Francisco, Barangay San Jose, Barangay Sto. Domingo and Barangay Loma on March 14-15, 2026.

The People’s Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) is a local government body that receives and decides administrative complaints against members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

It was created under the Republic Act No. 6975, also known as the Department of the Interior and Local Government Act of 1990.
