Today, the Biñan City Anti-Drug Abuse Council TWG headed by Mr. Ronaldo G. Roscain, CADAC Focal Person and DILG Officer Lenie R. Baustista successfully conducted LADPA Activity in promoting awareness, prevention and collective action against illegal drugs.

TodaysScope | DILG Laguna conducted a consultation dialogue with Congressman Walfredo Dimaguila Jr., Representative of the Lone District of Biñan, on May 29, 2026, at the Biñan Lone Congressional District Office, City of Biñan, Laguna. The consultation focused on identifying policy gaps, operational challenges, and potential areas for reform in the Local Government Code of 1991.
The activity forms part of the DILG IV-A’s strategy ensure that key stakeholders are consulted on the Local Government Code (LGC) of 1991 Review and Amendment Program (LGC RevAmP), which aims to strengthen local governance, improve public service delivery, and ensure that the Code remains responsive to the evolving needs of local government units and communities.

ICYMI | The DILG Laguna, in partnership with Basic Environmental Systems and Technologies (BEST) Inc., held an exploratory meeting with the City Government of Biñan last May 26 to discuss piloting the "Trash to Cashback" Program in the city.
Under this eco-incentive initiative, Biñan residents can exchange recyclable waste for Environmental Points (EPs). These EPs serve as a digital currency that can be used to redeem groceries, food items, online shopping vouchers, and more. Aside from incentivizing recycling, the initiative aims to actively drive community participation in environmental conservation and sustainability.
The partnership is expected to be officially sealed through a memorandum of agreement after the thorough review of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and the Mayor’s office who have expressed a very keen interest on the program.

Esmeraldo Opiña, Punong Barangay of Bungahan, Hon. Geminiano B. Catalon, ABC President and Punong Barangay of San Francisco and Hon. Michael Gonzales, Punong Barangay of San Antonio., and DILG Officer Lenie R. Bautista.

Kaya ngayong May 25, nagsama-sama ang iba’t ibang tanggapan at sektor sa pagpupulong ng 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗶ñ𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗜𝗩/𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 upang mas mapalakas pa ang ating mga programa para sa HIV and AIDS awareness, prevention, treatment, at community support dito sa ating lungsod.

Mahalagang walang naiiwan at walang natatakot lumapit para humingi ng tamang impormasyon, gabay, at suporta. Kaya patuloy po ang buong Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Lungsod ng Biñan sa pagsusulong ng mga programang nagbibigay ng pag-unawa, malasakit, at ligtas na espasyo para sa bawat Biñanense.💗

Dalawampu't siyam (29) residente ng Balay Silangan Reformation Center ang nagtapos sa tatlong buwang reformation program ng Biñan LGU katuwang ang CSWDO, DILG, PNP, PDEA, CHO, TESDA, noong May 20, 2026
Ang naturang reformees ay kabilang sa 9th batch ng matagumpay na nagtapos sa holistic reformation program na ito sa pangunguna ng City of Biñan Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC).
