151 4Ps Families Graduate, Achieve Self-Sufficiency in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental

BINALBAGAN, Negros Occidental — A total of 151 beneficiary families of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) officially graduated from the program after reaching a self-sufficient level of well-being, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward sustainable development and improved quality of life.

The Kadaugan graduation and turnover ceremony was held on June 22, 2026, bringing together local government officials and 4Ps implementers to celebrate the achievements of the graduating households. Adding a personal touch to the celebration, two graduating beneficiaries, Arnel Tiquio of Barangay Payao and Niña Nichole Molarion of Barangay San Jose, shared their inspiring stories of transformation. They expressed gratitude for the opportunities the program provided, emphasizing how 4Ps helped their families overcome challenges and build a more secure future.

Also present during the activity were Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Emma C. Gavileño, Municipal Administrator Pablito Gonzales, 4Ps Provincial Link Raymon M. Posta, and SWO III Marlene T. Delgado.

The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program has played a vital role in helping beneficiary families invest in their children's education, health, and overall well-being through conditional cash grants and Family Development Sessions. Through years of active participation and commitment, these 151 graduating families carry with them the skills, knowledge, and resilience. Their success reflects the program’s goal of empowering families to become self-sufficient and active contributors to their communities, from Binalbagan and beyond.

The DSWD Binalbagan Pantawid Office, in partnership with Bi-ao National High School, conducted a Youth Development Session for graduating senior high 4Ps-monitored students on March 10, 2026, in Brgy. Bi-ao, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, with the theme “Find the Path, Follow the Purpose.”

The speakers for the activity were Ms. Mery Grace G. Nanoy, who shared her journey as a 4Ps-monitored student and her success in passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers; Mr. Jefry Sermona, Teacher II of Bi-ao Elementary School, who discussed adolescence-related topics; and Ms. Judith Plana, PESO Head of Binalbagan, who presented PESO scholarships and employment opportunities.

The activity was attended by the faculty of Bi-ao National High School, senior high school students, resource speakers, and Ms. Rosarette Dawa and Mr. Larry Lego (Project Development Officer II / Municipality Link).

The activity aimed to guide students in choosing the right path and making informed decisions for their future.

Ginpatuman sang Municipality of Binalbagan ang 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏𝟗, 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, nga ginpirmahan ni Mayor Emmanuel I. Aranda, nga nagadumili sa pagprenda ukon pagbaton sang 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) cash card bilang kolateral sa utang.

Mahugot nga ginadumilian nga maghimo sini nga binuhatan ang mga 4Ps beneficiaries, pribado nga indibidwal, negosyo, kag mga opisyal sang gobyerno. Ang bisan sin-o nga magalapas sa sini nga mando, pagahatagan sang nagakaigo nga penalidad.
