OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Binalonan and the Binalonan Bazaar Task Force are issuing this statement to clarify the circulating post made by an individual whose contract was terminated due to serious violations of Binalonan Christmas Bazaar guidelines.
Grounds for Termination
The following were the official causes of termination:
1. Willful Disobedience and Failure to Comply with Rules and Regulations.
Despite numerous written and verbal notices issued since October 11, 2025, the said individual continuously failed to follow lawful directives from the Organizer and Bazaar Task Force. Repeated reminders were made to adhere to assigned areas and maintain tables within the designated line perimeters, yet these were deliberately ignored.
2. Discourteous Conduct and Lack of Respect Toward Authorized Personnel.
The individual repeatedly displayed disrespectful and discourteous behavior toward duly authorized Task Force members while they were performing their official duties, undermining the integrity and order of the event.
Violation of the Data Privacy Act
The said individual violated the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173) by publicly posting official documents containing the signatures of Task Force officials without consent. Although the post has since been deleted, screenshots of the post remain saved and will serve as evidence in the forthcoming formal complaint.
Malicious and Misleading Content
The post was a clear abuse of social media and a deliberate appeal to pity, spreading misinformation intended to malign the reputation of the organizers. Contrary to the claims that no assistance was given during an alleged medical episode, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) immediately responded and transported the individual to the hospital, demonstrating compassion and professionalism despite her disruptive behavior.
The Local Government Unit of Binalonan and the Binalonan Bazaar Task Force strongly condemn this act of public misinformation and disrespect toward duly constituted authorities. We will not tolerate any form of blackmail or manipulation through social media that seeks to discredit the honest efforts of our organizers and volunteers who are working hard to build a vibrant, safe, and inclusive community space for both residents and visitors. The Bazaar Task Force and the Binalonan Christmas Bazaar Organizers, will pursue appropriate legal actions against the individual for malicious publication of false information.
We appeal to the public to refrain from sharing or engaging with misleading content and to rely only on official statements released by the Municipality of Binalonan.
