As of 2:00 AM today, 18 August 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 08f) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and now has a “HIGH” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, another Low Pressure Area (LPA 08g) is being monitored outside the PAR and has a “MEDIUM” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of LGU Binidayan successfully conducted a Team Building Activity on August 16, 2026 at Dela Marr Resort, Iligan City.

Beyond the fun and camaraderie, the activity served as an opportunity for our team to strengthen teamwork, communication, trust, and coordination—essential qualities in DRRM work where effective collaboration and unity are vital in responding to emergencies and serving our community.

The MDRRMO team extends its heartfelt gratitude to our bosses Municipal Mayor, Hon. Sodais D. Dimaporo, and Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Punudaranao B. Datumulok, for their continued support, trust, and encouragement to our department. Your support inspires us to continuously improve and serve our municipality with commitment and dedication.

LANDSLIDE INCIDENT | Brgy. Tambac, Binidayan

At around 2:00 AM onwards on August 15, 2026, a landslide occurred in Brgy. Tambac, Binidayan. Three (3) houses were affected, with one (1) totally damaged. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported, as residents were able to evacuate the affected houses before the landslide occurred. Clearing operation is on going.

WEATHER UPDATE| As of 2:00 PM today, 08 August 2026, the Tropical Depression (formerly LPA 08b) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Another Low Pressure Area (LPA 08c) is being monitored outside the PAR and has a "HIGH" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Typhoon "DOLPHIN" is being monitored inside the Tropical Cyclone Information Domain (TCID).

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

Light to Moderate to Occasionally Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over

LANAO DEL SUR: Lumbatan, Sultan Dumalondong, Lumbayanague, Butig, Kapatagan, Madalum, Bacolod Kalawi, Tugaya, within the next 1-2 hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in LANAO DEL SUR: Picong, Malabang, Pualas, Ganassi, Binidayan, Pagayawan, Tubaran, Madamba, Calanogas, Marogong, Balabagan, Bayang and Lumbaca Unayan, which may persist within 1-2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.
