Hug a tree today, protect a forest tomorrow, Together, we stand for nature and a greener future.π
The Protected Area Management Office of Tinuy-an Falls Protected Landscape (PAMO-TFPL) successfully conducted a Tree Hugging Campaign in celebration of the Tree Hugging Campaign Week spearheaded by the Forest Management Bureau.
As part of the activity, PAMO personnel symbolically embraced an Almon tree (Shorea almon), highlighting its ecological importance and reaffirming their commitment to forest protection, conservation, and sustainable management.
Today, we came together not just to hug trees, but to reflect on our shared responsibility to care for the environment. What may seem like a simple act carries a deeper meaning β it reminds us that nature gives us so much, and in return, we must also protect it.
Trees are part of our everyday lives. They give us fresh air to breathe, shade during hot days, protection from floods and soil erosion, and homes for many animals. Our forests are not just scenery β they are life sources for communities and future generations. When we hug a tree, we pause for a moment to appreciate its quiet strength and the many benefits it provides.
This activity reminds us that protecting the environment starts with small but meaningful actions. Every embrace is a personal promise β a promise to respect nature, to avoid harming it, and to do our part in conserving our forests.
Together, let us grow with nature and stand united in safeguarding our environment. π³π
