August 20, 2026 | The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Marinduque, through Negosyo Center Boac, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Boac, conducted the Empowering PWDs through Fruit Preserve and Jam Product Development with Packaging and Labeling Enhancement on August 20, 2026, at Marinduque State University, Brgy. Tanza, Boac, Marinduque.

Through the dedication and valuable contributions of our trainers, Ms. Ceres Janet Malagotnot and Mr. Melgar M. Mabuti of the College of Industrial Technology, the participants significantly enhanced their skills and knowledge in fruit preserve and jam processing, including techniques for food preservation, packaging, labeling, and value addition.

August 17, 2026 | The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Marinduque, represented by Chief Trade-Industry Development Specialist Mr. Mark Dennis B. Cortez, together with Trade-Industry Development Specialist/OTOP Focal Person Ms. Sheryl S. Garniel and Negosyo Center Boac Ms. Florinel M. Marticio, attended the 2nd Committee Meeting of the Sangguniang Bayan ng Boac regarding the Proposed Municipal Ordinance localizing Republic Act No. 11960, otherwise known as the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippines Act, in the Municipality of Boac.

The session, spearheaded by the Chairperson of the Committee on Commerce, Trade, Industry, Investment and Incentives, Hon. Luisito S. Laylay, together with the Committee Members, aimed to support local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
