🐖🌾 Monitoring of Hog Dispersal and Tablea Production of Balagasan Farmworkers Association

The DAR Municipal Office of Boac-Mogpog conducted an inspection and monitoring activity to assess the progress of the hog dispersal project and tablea production of the Balagasan Farmworkers Association.

Through continuous monitoring, guidance, and support, DAR aims to strengthen Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs), improve their livelihoodopportunities, and promote sustainable income-generating projects for agrarian reform beneficiaries.

The Department of Agrarian Reform Municipal Office (DARMO) of Boac/Mogpog, represented by ARPO I Jerry B. Jayag, actively participated in the recently conducted “Mogpog Local Product Caravan 2026” held on September 29, 2026, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mogpog and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The activity highlighted the products of various Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs), particularly the Samahan ng Magsasaka at Mangingisda ng Luzon Datum Agriculture Cooperative (SAMAMALUDACO) and Tarug Agriculture Cooperative (TACO). SAMAMALUDACO showcased creatively crafted sea shell keychains and other shell-based by-products, reflecting the organization’s initiative to utilize locally available coastal resources into marketable livelihood products.

Meanwhile, Tarug Agriculture Cooperative (TACO) presented their well-known coconut-based delicacies, including Cocojam (locally known as kalamayhati) and Cocojam Slice. These products demonstrate the cooperative’s commitment to value-adding coconut produce and promoting local food processing enterprises.

The caravan served as an effective platform for ARBOs to promote their products, expand market linkages, and enhance community-based entrepreneurship. It also reinforced the continuous support of DAR, in collaboration with LGU Mogpog and DTI, in strengthening the economic viability and sustainability of agrarian reform beneficiaries through product development and market exposure.
