Dialogue with ENVOTEC (Singapore Based) regarding their proposal for Marcopper Rehabillitation.

Mayor Marisa Red together with Konsehal Revo Red introduced ENVOTEC officers to Gov Mel Go - Marinduque and discussed their way of helping Marinduque in rehabilitating the damages of the Marcopper Accident in the Municipalities of Boac, Mogpog and Santa Cruz.

Heads of offices and Representatives of the Municipalities of Mogpog and Santa Cruz together with DENR & invited NGOs listened to the promising proposal.

With the latest CA resolution at hand as well as the direction of the PGM to go to the Supreme Court, this representation conveyed to the ENVOTEC officers to consult and involve first DENR National with their proposal in consideration of whether it’s remediation or rehabilitation that has to be prioritized first. With the involvement and guidance of DENR, then they can present again with PGM and Sangguniang Panlalawigan their proposal.
