The Municipality of Bobon proudly celebrates another significant milestone after achieving a Highly Functional status in the 2025 Performance Assessment of the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC).

This remarkable achievement highlights Bobon's unwavering commitment to strengthening programs, policies, and initiatives that promote the protection and welfare of women and children.

TANONG NG BAYAN | Ano ang MANA Mo?

Ang Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) ay ipinagdiriwang tuwing Setyembre upang palakasin ang kamalayan ng mga Pilipino sa kahalagahan ng dagat at kapuluan sa ating pambansang pagkakakilanlan, kabuhayan, at seguridad. Itinatag ito sa bisa ng Proclamation No. 316 (2017).

Ngayong 2026, ang tema ay “Karapatan sa Karagatan, Sama-sama Nating Alagaan” na nagbibigay-diin sa karapatan ng bawat Pilipino sa ating karagatan at sa kolektibong responsibilidad na ito ay pangalagaan.

Naglalaman ito ng layunin gaya ng:
✅ Pagkilala sa karapatan ng bawat Pilipino sa dagat
✅ Sama-samang pangangalaga laban sa polusyon at pang-aabuso
✅ Pagtiyak ng kalinisan at seguridad para sa susunod na henerasyon

Ang DILG ay katuwang sa pagpapatupad ng MANA Mo sa pamamagitan ng pag-atas sa mga LGU na magsagawa ng awareness campaigns, coastal cleanups, flag-raising ceremonies, at iba pang community-based na aktibidad upang palakasin ang partisipasyon ng mamamayan sa pangangalaga ng ating karagatan.

SFO3 April Gabriel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) paid a visit to the DILG Bobon Office for a coordination meeting with MLGOO Jorge B. Durom.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss relevant matters and strengthen coordination between the two agencies in support of local government initiatives and community safety efforts.

The Liga ng mga Barangay President paid a courtesy visit to the DILG Bobon Office, where he met with MLGOO Jorge B. Durom for a coordination meeting.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss barangay-related matters, upcoming activities, and other concerns requiring coordination between the Liga ng mga Barangay and DILG Bobon.

Through continued communication and collaboration, both offices reaffirm their commitment to strengthening support and coordination at the barangay level.

The Municipal Accountant paid a coordination visit to the DILG Bobon Office, fostering stronger collaboration and communication between the two offices.

The engagement provided an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual concern, strengthen coordination, and ensure the effective delivery of local government services.

𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗚-𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗚𝗔 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗜 | 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

The 18 Barangays of Bobon actively participated in “Pagrig-on Han mga Harigi (Year 3): Strengthening of Barangay-Based Institutions (BBIs), Episode 5: Barangay Violence Against Women (VAW) Desk Officers.”

The session served as an opportunity to strengthen the knowledge and capacity of Barangay VAW Desk Officers in understanding their roles and responsibilities in establishing responsive mechanisms and providing appropriate support to women experiencing violence.

Through Pagrig-on Han mga Harigi, the barangays of Bobon continue to strengthen their institutions, enhance their capacity, and work together toward safer, more responsive, and empowered communities.
