The Municipality of Carmen proudly celebrates the successful staging of the 𝐁𝐈𝐃𝐀 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐑𝐮𝐧 2026, held in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) with the global theme:

"World Drug Problem: Persisting Issues, New Challenges, Innovative Responses."

More than a fun run, this event served as a powerful reminder that a healthy, united, and informed community is our strongest defense against illegal drugs. Through every stride, we reaffirmed our commitment to promoting wellness, empowering our youth, and building a safer, drug-free Carmen.

The Local Government Unit of Carmen extends its heartfelt gratitude to our Municipal Officials led by Mayor Che Toribio Delos Reyes Beauche Che, Vice Mayor Hon. Ricardo Francisco Toribio, the Sangguniang Bayan Members, and Board Member Nathaniel Binlod, Punong Barangays, and SK Chairpersons for their unwavering support in making this meaningful activity possible.

Our sincerest appreciation also goes to MLGOO Ms. Niña Christine Montejo for leading the Organizing Committee, in collaboration with the Liga ng mga Barangay, the 29 Barangay Officials, the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Carmen, the Carmen Municipal Police Station, Carmen District Jail, BFP Carmen Fire Station, Carmen Rescue Team (CaRT), MDRRMO, RHU–Municipal Health Office, our guest speakers, volunteers, sponsors, and every individual who contributed to the success, safety, and smooth conduct of this event.

We would like to extend our congratulations two of our youths from participating and grab the 4th Place Nicko Degamo (21-39 yrs old category) and 5th Place James Rio Dapar (21-39 yrs old category) and to all of our youth from the barangay, kudos to you all.

Most importantly, thank you to every Carmenanon who joined and ran with purpose.Your participation reflects our collective stand for a healthier lifestyle and a community free from the dangers of illegal drugs.

What was once considered waste has now become a source of hope and opportunity for our youth.

The “Basura Nimo, Baylo Gamit sa Eskwela Ko Project” of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Nueva Fuerza, Carmen, Bohol proudly emerged as a winning program during the Provincial Dilaab Youth Impact Expo, a prestigious platform that highlights the excellence, innovation, and outstanding initiatives of Sangguniang Kabataan councils in advancing the role of the youth in community development and nation-building.

This recognition reflects the power of youth-led innovation transforming recyclable plastic bottles into meaningful educational support for students while promoting environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Through this initiative, every bottle collected becomes a step toward a cleaner environment and a brighter future for our learners.
