Pilar ES Strengthens Active Attack Preparedness

PILAR, Bolinao, Pangasinan β€” To ensure the safety of learners and the school's preparedness during active attack incidents, Pilar Elementary School organized a planning conference to craft the School's Contingency Plan for Active Attack Incidents.

The conference focused on identifying the preventive measures, tactical response, protocols during and after the incident, and recovery and learning continuity.

Through collaborative planning, the school aims to give clear protocols, appropriate emergency response procedures, and distinguish roles and responsibilities during active school attacks.

School Head Gladys Joy C. Caasi led the said planning conference, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and coordination in protecting learners.

The development of the contingency plan serves as a proactive step towards creating a safer learning environment while ensuring that education can still continue amidst unexpected emergencies.

August 20, 2026, Pilar Elementary School continued the implementation of Modular Distance Learning (MDL). The learners accomplished their assigned learning activities at home with the guidance and support of their parents or guardians. The respective class advisers monitored the learners’ participation, progress, and completion of the given activities. The monitoring was also supervised by our School Head, Dr. Gladys Joy C. Caasi, to ensure the continuous delivery of learning despite the distance. Through the collective efforts of the teachers, parents, and school leadership, learning continued meaningfully and effectively.

Today, August 20, 2026, a virtual meeting and monitoring of Modular Distance Learning (MDL) were successfully conducted under the leadership of our School Head, Dr. Gladys Joy C. Caasi, together with our District Supervisor, Dr. Helen C. Brian.
The activity aimed to monitor the implementation of MDL, assess the progress of learners, and address the concerns and challenges encountered by teachers in delivering quality education through the modular learning modality. During the meeting, the teachers shared updates, observations, and effective practices related to the distribution, retrieval, checking, and monitoring of learning modules.
Dr. Caasi provided guidance and encouragement to the teachers, emphasizing the importance of commitment, teamwork, accurate documentation, and continuous communication with learners and parents. Likewise, Dr. Brian offered valuable insights and recommendations to help strengthen the implementation and monitoring of MDL.
The virtual meeting provided an opportunity for the participants to discuss possible solutions to identified concerns and ensure that every learner receives the necessary support. It also reinforced the school’s commitment to maintaining quality education despite the challenges associated with distance learning.
The activity concluded with a renewed sense of dedication and cooperation among the school personnel. Through the guidance of the school and district leaders and the collaborative efforts of teachers, parents, and other stakeholders, the school continues to work toward the effective delivery of meaningful, accessible, and learner-centered education.
