23 March 2026 | Monday | What’s In?

The State of the School Address (SOSA) 2026 of Arnedo National High School, delivered by School Principal I Maria Teresa P. Reside, highlights a year marked by commitment, collaboration, and continuous progress. Anchored on its vision of providing quality, inclusive, and transformative education, the school strengthened its academic programs through enhanced curriculum delivery, learning recovery initiatives, and technology integration. Beyond academics, the school fostered holistic learner development through leadership training, co-curricular participation, and values formation. Equally, the faculty and staff remained dedicated to professional growth, ensuring that educators are equipped to meet the evolving needs of learners. Strong partnerships with parents, local government units, and community stakeholders further reinforced the school’s capacity to deliver meaningful and sustainable educational programs.

This year’s achievements reflect both growth and excellence across various areas. With a total enrollment of 334 learners and improved facilities and resources, the school continues to expand its reach and impact. Numerous academic and co-curricular accomplishments—from district to regional levels—demonstrate the talents and perseverance of both learners and educators. Notable recognitions in journalism, mathematics, and national competitions, along with awards in leadership and school performance, affirm the school’s commitment to excellence. Through innovative programs, active community engagement, and a shared vision for success, Arnedo National High School stands as a testament to what can be achieved when dedication and unity drive educational transformation.

Arnedo National High School (ANHS) scribes earned top recognition in the 2025 Division Gawad Teodora Alonso (GTA) Storybook Writing Competition.

Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences learners 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐂. 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐬 and 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐁. 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐩𝐞𝐜 won 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 in story and poem writing, respectively, while 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝘇 placed 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 in Pagsulat ng Tulang Pambata, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics learner 𝗝𝗮𝗻-𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 𝗣. 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹 secured 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 in Pagsulat ng Kuwentong Pambata.

Abalos’ winning entry, 𝘚𝘪 𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘬𝘢 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘢, narrates how fake news and click-driven content can fracture a community, while Palecpec’s poem, 𝘒𝘶𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘗𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰, weaves together the stories behind Filipino films through poetic forms studied in Creative Writing.

Castil’s story, 𝘈𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘪 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰, explores self-identity discovered through the arts, while Diaz’s poem, 𝘗𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘶𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘴, weaves traditional larong lahi into a reflection on societal issues such as corruption, flawed flood-control projects, and poverty.

“Hindi alam ng aking katawan kung paiiralin ko ang nag-uunahang mga luha o pahahabain ang ngiting abot-tainga. Hindi naging madali ang aming paglalakbay sa Gawad Teodora Alonso ng aming Dibisyon lalo’t kasabay nito ang hagupit ng bagyong Emong,” Palecpec, division champion, said.

“By instilling the values of storytelling in them, we hope it will ripple through their families, school, and the country,” Jennifer G. Orlanda, writing coach, stated.

The Gawad Teodora Alonso competition is established to honor the legacy of Jose Rizal’s mother, Teodora Alonso Realonda, and her passion for storytelling.

𝕬 𝕹𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝕮𝖗𝖔𝖜𝖓𝖘 👑

In the spotlight of celebration, the Arnedo National High School witnessed a moment where dreams turned into living royalty.

Crowned with honor and pride were our King, Jerry Catabay Jr., and our Queen, Bliss Wenchel Caniedo, whose presence reflected true excellence and grace.

Standing proudly beside them were the Aaron Matt V. Cariño and Krissa F. Ramolete (1st Runner Up), Jan Carlo Caasi and Jewel Angeles (2nd Runner Up), Abegail Taller and Reniel Montuya (3rd Runner Up) and Adrian Untay and Claudine Bacutana (4th Runner Up) whose strength and brilliance proved that greatness lives in every courageous heart.

The radiant Section Muses and the distinguished Escorts completed the night, embodying elegance, confidence, and unity. This coronation was more than a ceremony; it was a celebration of leadership, pride, and the legacy carried by every ANHS royal.

𝓔𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓮𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓖𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓽𝓷𝓮𝓼𝓼 𝓲𝓷 𝓔𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂 𝓢𝓽𝓮𝓹 ✨

Not all footsteps are heard, but today, every step tells a story of courage, unity, and unwavering pride from the learners of Arnedo National High School. Beneath the open sky, dreams marched side by side, wrapped in colors that symbolize hope and strength. Each smile reflected a journey shaped by perseverance and guided by purpose.

This parade is more than tradition; it is a living reminder that greatness begins with believing and moving forward together. In every stride lives the spirit of ANHS: resilient, fearless, and destined to shine. Today, we did not just walk; we inspired, we celebrated, and we proved that our pride moves as one.
