Congratulations, LGU Bombon! 🎉👏

This morning, the Local Government Unit of Bombon was conferred the Balangay Seal of Excellence, the highest recognition awarded by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to local government units demonstrating outstanding performance in the implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program.

Representing the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), headed by Municipal Mayor James Paul A. Ranin, during the awarding ceremony were Hon. Sancho dela Merced, SB Member and Chairperson of the Committee on Peace and Order; MHO Judy Z. Reforma; MSWDO Marissa Pasobillo; Acting Chief of Police Lizardo Banaag; and MLGOO Odessa Albar.

This recognition reflects the LGU’s dedication, commitment, and effective collaboration with barangays, partner agencies, and stakeholders in addressing the illegal drug problem and promoting safer, drug-free communities.

Today, August 11, 2026, Punong Barangays and Chief Tanods convened at Binamban Hall, Bombon, Camarines Sur, for a joint meeting on the implementation of the Safer School Zones (SSZ) under the Safer Cities and Safer Communities Initiative, pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-037.

Also present during the activity were School Principal III Joel Claron, representing the PSDS, and personnel from the Bombon Municipal Police Station, reinforcing coordination among barangays, schools, and law enforcers.

Facilitated by the DILG Municipal Operations Office through MLGOO Odessa B. Albar, the meeting emphasized the roles and responsibilities of barangays, reportorial compliance beginning SY 2026–2027, and the deployment of Barangay Tanods to support safer, more orderly, and secure school zones for learners and the community.
