Aspiring SK official ka ba? Pwede ka nang mangarap!

Para sa mga kabataang naghahandang tumakbo at maglingkod bilang Sangguniang Kabataan officials, mahalagang malinaw hindi lamang kung bakit nais ninyong mamuno, kundi pati na rin kung ano ang inyong mga tungkulin at responsibilidad sa barangay.

Samahan kami sa Balangibog Episode 22: Pre-BNEO Series – Roles and Functions of the Sangguniang Kabataan. Tatalakayin sa episode na ito ang mahahalagang kaalaman tungkol sa papel, tungkulin, at responsibilidad ng Sangguniang Kabataan sa pagsusulong ng makabuluhang partisipasyon at kapakanan ng kabataan sa barangay.

Makakasama natin bilang resource speakers sina LGOO VII Amaline R. Colina, Cluster Head ng DILG Albay; LGOO VI Johanna L. Nuyda, CLGOO ng DILG Ligao City; at LGOO VI Ruth Fay B. Belarmino, MLGOO ng DILG Guinobatan.

The DILG Municipal Operations Office, through MLGOO Odessa B. Albar, assisted in administering the Training Needs Assessment (TNA) of Barangay Officials from September 7 to 17, 2026. Implemented by the Local Government Academy (LGA) in collaboration with Bukidnon State University (BukSU) and DILG Regional Office X, the activity sought to identify the capacity-building needs and priority areas of barangay officials as inputs to the enhancement of the Basic Orientation Course for Barangay Officials under the Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNEO) towards Grassroots Renewal and Empowerment for Accountable and Transparent (GREAT) Barangay Program. Respondents included the Punong Barangays, Sangguniang Barangay Members, Barangay Secretaries, and Barangay Treasurers from all eight (8) barangays of the municipality.

Congratulations, LGU Bombon! 🎉👏

This morning, the Local Government Unit of Bombon was conferred the Balangay Seal of Excellence, the highest recognition awarded by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to local government units demonstrating outstanding performance in the implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program.

Representing the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), headed by Municipal Mayor James Paul A. Ranin, during the awarding ceremony were Hon. Sancho dela Merced, SB Member and Chairperson of the Committee on Peace and Order; MHO Judy Z. Reforma; MSWDO Marissa Pasobillo; Acting Chief of Police Lizardo Banaag; and MLGOO Odessa Albar.

This recognition reflects the LGU’s dedication, commitment, and effective collaboration with barangays, partner agencies, and stakeholders in addressing the illegal drug problem and promoting safer, drug-free communities.
