Bilig Elementary School Celebrates IPED Month and Teachers' Month
Bilig Elementary School recently celebrated IPED Month and Teachers' Month with great enthusiasm and appreciation for the dedication of its teachers and the importance of indigenous peoples' education.
The Teachers' Month celebration, with the theme "Together4Teachers: Celebrating the Heart of Education," honored the tireless efforts of educators in shaping the minds of future generations. Meanwhile, the IPED Month celebration, with the theme "Ating Pagdayin ang Kinabukasan, Gabay ang Katutubong Karunungan at Karapatan," highlighted the significance of preserving and promoting indigenous knowledge and culture.
These celebrations are crucial in recognizing the vital roles that teachers and indigenous peoples play in the education system. Teachers are the backbone of education, inspiring and guiding students to reach their full potential. Indigenous peoples, on the other hand, bring unique perspectives and knowledge that enrich the learning experience.
During the event, teachers and Administrative Officers (AOs) received certificates of recognition from School Head Hazel Noel M. Balokey for their invaluable services to Bilig Elementary School. A plaque was presented to Ma'am Marylou A. Langcao, recognizing her 20 years of dedicated service.
The celebration was well-attended by parents, the council of elders, and officials from the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU), demonstrating their support for the teachers and the importance of education in the community.
By honoring teachers and indigenous peoples, Bilig Elementary School reinforces the value of education and cultural preservation, inspiring students to appreciate their heritage and strive for excellence.
