📚 PDEA MOUNTAIN PROVINCE PROMOTES DRUG-FREE YOUTH IN TADIAN

TADIAN, Mountain Province — PDEA Mountain Province conducted a Drug Abuse Prevention Education (DAPE) lecture for 100 student learners of Am-am National High School on August 20, 2026, as part of the school's observance of Buwan ng Wika, Linggo ng Kabataan, and IPED initiatives.

The lecture covered the harmful effects of licit and dangerous drugs, drug classifications, commonly abused substances, key provisions of RA 9165, and practical ways for young people to remain drug-free.

The activity also brought together speakers and partners from BLGU Cadad-anan, Cagubatan National High School, Dacudac National High School, and DepEd Mountain Province, highlighting the importance of working together in educating and protecting the youth.

Am-am National High School Principal Orlando C. Madalla encouraged the learners to internalize the lessons shared and use them as a guide toward a better future.

PDEA Mountain Province continues to strengthen drug prevention through education, partnership, and community involvement.

JOINT OPERATION UPROOTS 50,000 MA*****NA SEEDLINGS

SADANGA, Mountain Province — A joint law enforcement team cleared a ma*****na cultivation site along the boundary of Saclit, Sadanga and Buscalan, Tinglayan on August 15, 2026, resulting in the destruction of approximately 50,000 ma*****na seedlings with an estimated value of ₱2 million.

The seedlings were found growing across an area of about 5,000 square meters and were uprooted and destroyed at the site.

Joint operatives from PDEA Mountain Province, PIU & PDEU Mountain Province Police, Sadanga Municipal Police Station, and 1st & 2nd Mountain Province Mobile Force Company participated in the operation.

The successful eradication underscores the continuing cooperation among law enforcement agencies in addressing ma*****na cultivation in the province.
