Newly purchased Criminology and General Education Curriculum (GEC) books were successfully delivered today to the MPSU Paracelis Library. These additional learning resources are expected to support the academic needs of students, faculty, and researchers by providing updated references and instructional materials for various subjects.
A workshop on uploading book cover pages to the Koha Library System was conducted. The training focused on the proper procedures and techniques for adding and managing book cover images in the Koha system to enhance the library catalog’s visual presentation and improve users’ access to library resources. During the workshop, a step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on guidance to ensure that the library staff gained practical knowledge and skills.in using the system effectively. The activity also aimed to strengthen coordination and technical capability among library personnel within MPSU libraries.

On April 6, the newly purchased collection of books was carefully reviewed and organized by the Director for Libraries to ensure equitable distribution among the institution's three campuses: Bontoc, Tadian, and Paracelis. This initiative reflects the administration's commitment to providing balanced access to updated resources across all locations. Each set of books was thoughtfully sorted based on academic program needs, and student population, ensuring that every campus benefits from the acquisition. The effort not only strengthens the library system as a whole but also supports the academic growth and research capabilities of students and faculty in each campus

On March 26, 2026, faculty members from the criminology and agriculture programs of MPSU Paracelis participated in a brief orientation focused on aligning the library's available references with their respective course syllabi. The session aimed to enhance faculty awareness and utilization of existing resources to better support instruction and research. During the orientation, participants were introduced to various reference materials. Emphasis was placed on accessing e-books available through the Calibre database, which has been pre-installed and organized within designated library computer for convenient use. Faculty members were guided on how to navigate this digital collections and search for relevant titles. In addition, the orientation included a demonstration of the Koha library system. on how to efficiently search books, check availability, and explore other services through the system.
The activity was facilitated by the library staff, Ms. Fely A. Akilith, Director for Libraries; Ms. Clarence S. Keyda, College Librarian, MPSU Tadian and Ms. Hannah R. Zarate, College Librarian, MPSU Bontoc.
