Typhoon Uwan continues to rapidly intensify as it approaches Catanduanes.
β’ Location (4:00 AM): 195 km East of Virac, Catanduanes
β’ Winds: 175 km/h sustained; gusts up to 215 km/h
β’ Movement: West-northwest at 35 km/h
β’ Category: Typhoon, nearing Super Typhoon intensity
β’ Wind field: Typhoon-force winds extend up to 800 km from the center

Areas under Signal No. 3 may experience storm-force winds (89β117 km/h) within 18 hours.
