Rockfall in Amlosong Area Bontoc ili, Causes Property Damage, No Injuries Reported

October 3, 2026 – In an incident reported today, a rockfall occurred along the Bontoc to Baguio road, particularly along the Amlosong area where road widening work is currently in progress. The incident, which coincided with heavy afternoon rains, saw a boulder fall and crashed into a structure known as Bar 31. Further information revealed that the structure is rented and operated by Mr. Terrence Todyog. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. According to the information provided by Barangay Bontoc Ili officials, the incident transpired at midnight on October 1, 2026.

The Bontoc Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) is urging all motorists and passers-by to exercise caution while traveling through the area due to potential soil instability.
