Work in government offices and classes at all levels, both public and private, are hereby suspended in Mountain Province on Thursday, August 6, 2026, due to the continuing effects of Tropical Storm Maymay (international name: Kujira) and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital public services are directed to continue their operations and render the necessary assistance to the public.

𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙋𝘼𝙂𝘾𝙊𝙍!

The Provincial Government of Mountain Province expresses its sincere gratitude to the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) family for the generous donation of food and non-food packs made possible through the initiative of Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr.

Representing Governor Lacwasan, Mr. Winston V. Calde led personnel from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Governor's Office to Imus, Cavite, to haul and transport the donated food and non-food packs generously provided by the PAGCOR family under the leadership of Chairman Alejandro H. Tengco.

These donations will strengthen the Provincial Government's disaster preparedness and response efforts and provide much-needed assistance to families and communities affected by emergencies and calamities across Mountain Province.

The Provincial Government extends its heartfelt appreciation to Chairman Tengco and the entire PAGCOR family for their generosity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to public service. Through partnerships like these, we continue to bring timely assistance and hope to our fellow Montañosas.

𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗬 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 || Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. welcomed Sangguniang Bayan Member Sabas M. Gayadon of Paracelis during a courtesy call at the Governor's Mansion on August 5, 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both officials to discuss matters affecting local communities, including priority programs and development concerns. They also exchanged ideas on strengthening coordination between the provincial government and the Municipality of Paracelis in delivering services to constituents.

𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐒 || The Kayan East PWD Organization, led by its President Henry M. Fadchal, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. at the Governor's Mansion on August 5, 2026.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed the organization's proposed livelihood initiative that cab provide a sustainable source of income for its members. Fadchal said the requested assistance would enable the organization to implement a livelihood project that promotes self-reliance, strengthens food security, and improves the economic well-being of persons with disabilities in the community.

In response, Governor Lacwasan stressed the Provincial Government's continued support for initiatives that benefit persons with disabilities.// BBKM

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄 || Kagawad Sammy Lambayong N. Ayuga of Barangay Latang, Barlig, Mountain Province paid a courtesy visit to Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. at the Governor's Mansion on August 5, 2026, to follow up on previously discussed matters and raise additional concerns related to the development of his community.

Ayuga said the visit provided an opportunity to coordinate with the Provincial Government and ensure that the needs and priorities of his community continue to receive appropriate attention.

During the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on local governance and discussed priority concerns of the municipality. They also talked about opportunities for continued coordination between the Provincial Government and the Municipality of Sagada in pursuing programs and initiatives that will benefit local communities.

𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗬 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 ||Punong Barangay and Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) President Ronald T. Challoy of Fiangtin, Barlig, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. at the Governor's Mansion on August 4, 2026.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed matters affecting the barangay and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation between the Provincial Government and the local government unit. They also exchanged updates on community concerns and the implementation of programs intended to improve public services and support local development.

𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗬 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 || 𝗕𝗙𝗣-𝗖𝗔𝗥 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝘃. 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻

FSSUPT Arthur L. Sawate, Ph.D., Acting Regional Director for Administration of the Bureau of Fire Protection–Cordillera Administrative Region (BFP-CAR), paid a courtesy visit to Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr. at the Governor's Mansion on August 4, 2026.

Sawate was accompanied by FINSP Calvin B. Mondero, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, and other BFP personnel.

Sawate said the bureau is consulting with local government units across the region on fire safety and community-based programs that could be implemented in partnership with LGUs. The consultations also help identify local priorities and areas where the BFP can further support communities through prevention, preparedness, and public service efforts.

Governor Lacwasan welcomed the visit and reaffirmed the Provincial Government's support for collaborative efforts that promote public safety and strengthen coordination between national agencies and LGUs.

Also present were FO3 Evona Faith Patingan, FO1 Kris Lee Lamangan, FO3 Bryan Abnasan, and FO3 Samuel Angelo Fetero.

𝙃𝙊𝙉𝙊𝙍𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙎𝙀𝙍𝙑𝙄𝘾𝙀, 𝘼𝘿𝘿𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙍𝙉𝙎 || Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. welcomed officers of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines (VFP)-Mountain Province Chapter during a courtesy visit at the Governor's Mansion on August 4, 2026.

The delegation, headed by VFP-Mountain Province Chapter President Sorero A. Gullod, thanked Governor Lacwasan for the aid to veterans provided by the Provincial Government.

The group also raised concerns affecting the federation's operations and discussed matters for which they sought the Provincial Government's support to help facilitate the implementation of their programs and the processing of office transactions.

Governor Lacwasan thanked the delegation for the courtesy visit and acknowledged the veterans' continued service and contribution to the province.

During the meeting, the barangay officials sought the Governor's support for proposed infrastructure projects aimed at improving road access, public facilities, and other priority community development initiatives in Tonglayan.

Also present during the visit were Barangay Kagawads Joebert P. Fiayona, Allan N. Banasan, Alfredo P. Dicang, and Domingo Gaduang, along with Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson Ruval C. Fossing.
