According to the notification sent by Facebook, the page was temporarily locked on March 15, 2026 after detecting that the account had been compromised or hacked. The hacking incident was first noticed last Friday at around 7:26 AM, prompting immediate action and coordination to secure the page.

We thank everyone for their patience and understanding during the temporary disruption.

The Public Information Office (PIO) would like to inform the public that the PIO Facebook account was compromised earlier today and has already been removed as an admin of the official LGU page, β€œThe Municipality of Bontoc, Southern Leyte.”

Please be advised to be cautious of any suspicious posts, messages, or activities that may appear on the page. The matter is currently being addressed and appropriate actions are being taken to secure the page.

Executive Order No. 048, Series of 2025
FORCE EVACUATION ORDER

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 048, issued by Municipal Mayor Hon. Noel Alinsub, all families residing in coastal and low-lying areas of the Municipality of Bontoc are hereby directed to undergo FORCE EVACUATION due to the imminent threat of Tropical Depression β€œTino.”

Residents are advised to immediately proceed to their designated evacuation centers for safety.
Please cooperate with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), PNP, BFP, and Barangay Officials assisting in the evacuation efforts.

Your safety is our utmost priority.
Stay alert and follow official advisories only.
