LGU BONTOC PERSONNEL EVACUATE MUNICIPAL HALL FOLLOWING FELT EARTHQUAKE

BONTOC, Southern Leyte – Personnel of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bontoc immediately evacuated the Municipal Hall this afternoon after an earthquake was felt in the municipality.

In accordance with established emergency safety protocols, employees proceeded to the designated open area.

No injuries have been reported as of this writing.

The LGU of Bontoc reminds everyone to remain calm, stay alert for possible aftershocks, and always follow official advisories and earthquake safety procedures.

2026 PCSA FUN RUN: JOIN THE CELEBRATION OF THE 126TH PHILIPPINE CIVIL SERVICE ANNIVERSARY!

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office VIII invites all government agencies, partner organizations, and interested participants to take part in the 2026 PCSA Fun Run on September 13, 2026 (Sunday) at the MacArthur Leyte Landing Memorial National Park, Palo, Leyte.

This nationwide event, to be held simultaneously across all 17 CSC Regional Offices, is part of the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. It also serves as a fundraising activity for the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani (PLBi) Program, which honors and provides assistance to public officials and employees who died in the line of duty.
