The 502nd Combat Engineer “CUTTING-EDGE” Battalion, led by LTC BRYAN S MACUTAY CE (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, together with 2LT KIM JANZEN D OBDIN (CE) PA, CMO Officer, participated in the Basic Incident Command System (ICS) Training held on 25–28 August 2026 at the 546th Engineer Construction Battalion, San Jose, Tacloban City.

The training strengthened participants’ knowledge and skills in organizing, coordinating, and managing resources during emergencies and disasters. This initiative reinforces the 502nd CEB’s commitment to operational readiness, effective disaster response, and interoperability with partner units and stakeholders.

The activity highlighted the Battalion’s commitment to strengthening civil-military relations, coordination, and partnership with the Philippine National Police and other local stakeholders in support of peace, security, and community service.

The meeting brought together concerned stakeholders to discuss plans, coordination measures, and support requirements to ensure the orderly, safe, and successful conduct of the city’s socio-cultural activities.

Through active coordination and collaboration with local government and partner agencies, the 502nd CEB remains committed to supporting community activities and strengthening civil-military cooperation in Eastern Samar.

The 502nd Combat Engineer Battalion (Cutting-Edge), Combat Engineer Regiment, Philippine Army celebrated the State of the Battalion Address (SOBA) – 100 Days Chronicle of LTC BRYAN S. MACUTAY CE (GSC) PA, highlighting the Battalion’s accomplishments, milestones, and significant gains throughout his first 100 days as Commanding Officer.

With the spirit of a Barrio Fiesta, the celebration brought together the men and women of the Battalion in an evening filled with camaraderie, gratitude, culture, and celebration. 🎊
Adding color and life to the occasion, our very own personnel showcased their talents through traditional Filipino cultural dances, reflecting the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of the Filipino community. 💃🕺🇵🇭

From mission accomplishment to meaningful milestones, the first 100 days have been a testament to dedication, teamwork, and collective effort. As we look back on the journey so far, we celebrate not only what has been accomplished, but also the stronger team moving forward.
