KITAA || Strengthening Road Clearing and Barangay Security Efforts

In line with Barangay Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2018, and guided by the provisions of the Republic Act No. 7160 and Republic Act No. 4136, the Committee on Peace and Order of Barangay Can-abong, led by Committee Chairman Hon. Anthony Arao Aguillo, continues to intensify its road clearing operations to maintain safe and obstruction-free public roads.

Alongside this, the barangay has strengthened the roving patrol of Barangay Tanods, particularly in identified hotspot areas, to further enhance peace and order, deter unlawful activities, and ensure the safety and security of all residents.

These combined efforts reflect the barangay’s commitment, in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government, to promote discipline, public safety, and a more secure and organized community.

KITAA || In line with its commitment to public service and community safety, the Committee on Peace and Order, led by Hon. Anthony Aguillo, successfully conducted its monthly meeting to strengthen peace and order initiatives in the barangay.

The activity focused on monitoring the community, addressing safety concerns, and clearing road obstructions to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety. Through regular patrols and coordination, the committee aims to enhance security and responsiveness.

In accordance with Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991), Barangay Tanods play a key role in maintaining peace and order and enforcing barangay ordinances. They also support emergency response efforts under Republic Act No. 10121.

New uniforms were distributed to the Barangay Tanods during the meeting, and the committee expressed its gratitude to the Barangay Council, led by Punong Barangay Hon. Estela C. Apura, for its continued support.

This initiative highlights the barangay’s dedication to maintaining a safe, orderly, and peaceful community for all.

KITAA || Committee on Peace and Order Conducts Monthly Road Clearing Activity

Pursuant to Barangay Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2018, and in support of the national government’s directive under the Republic Act No. 7160 and the Republic Act No. 4136, the Committee on Peace and Order of Barangay Can-abong, through the leadership of Committee Chairman Hon. Anthony Arao Aguillo, successfully conducted its monthly road clearing operation.

The activity aims to ensure that all barangay roads, sidewalks, and public pathways remain free from illegal obstructions such as unauthorized structures, illegally parked vehicles, construction materials, and other objects that may hinder the smooth flow of traffic and pose risks to pedestrians and motorists.

This initiative also supports the directive of the Department of the Interior and Local Government to maintain clear, safe, and accessible public roads as part of strengthening local governance and promoting discipline in the use of public spaces.

Road clearing activities are essential in promoting public safety, orderliness, and accessibility within the community. By strictly implementing this ordinance, the barangay ensures that emergency vehicles can easily pass through during urgent situations, reduces traffic congestion, prevents accidents, and maintains a more organized and disciplined environment for residents.

The activity focused on monitoring the barangay surroundings, addressing potential safety concerns, and clearing road obstructions that may cause inconvenience, accidents, or disruption to the smooth flow of traffic. Through regular patrolling and strengthened coordination, the committee seeks to enhance visibility, improve responsiveness, and reinforce the sense of security among community members. The meeting also emphasized strategies to further ensure the safety and security of the entire community.

This initiative underscores the barangay’s continuing efforts to uphold peace and order, encourage cooperation among residents, and foster a safe, orderly, and peaceful environment for everyone.
