The Local Government Unit of Bubong, through its Gender and Development (GAD) office joins the observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children.

This commitment strengthens the implementation of Republic Act No. 10398, s. 2013, which declares November 25 of every year as the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children.

It also upholds Republic Act No. 9262, the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, which protects women and children from all forms of abuse. United in advocacy, we continue to promote a community that values safety, dignity, and the rights of every woman and child.

We encourage women to support each other and stand up for their rights but don't look down on men. We are empowering women to stop biases against women in the society especially in their workplaces. 💜

The Local Government of Bubong Unit headed by Hon. Alfais T. Munder through its Gender and Development- Bubong Lanao del Sur Office led by GAD focal person, Analiah M. Sarip, JD supports the WORLD HIJAB DAY on every 1st day of February.

The House of Representatives of the Philippines approved 1 February as "Annual National Hijab Day" to promote an understanding of the Muslim tradition in 2021 but it was introduced and founded first by Nazma Khan in 2013 participated by more than 140 countries worldwide. The purpose of the celebration is to raise awareness on the importance of hijab and why hijabophobia has to stop. As Jackline Urejeni from Rwanda, serving in South Sudan said "Women are effective in building peace and unity. Meaning, with our hijab it symbolizes that we are part of the decision making to create peace and unity.

In addition, hijabophobia is one of the factors why most women have been discriminated by the society. "Hijabophobia is a type of religious and cultural discrimination against Muslim women who wear the hijab.[1] The discrimination has had manifestations in public, working and educational places." We are making the step to stop this discrimination against muslim women, we decide what they think of us. So, we we really need to speak up and stand for the truth.

On October 6-7, 2022, the Bangsamoro Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee conducted the Orientation and Planning Workshop on the Formulation and Development of Comprehensive Local Juvenile Intervention Program (CLJIP) with the Local Government Unit of Poona Bayabao, Piagapo and Bubong Municipality at Crystal Inn, Inc., Iligan City.
