The Local Government Unit of Bubong participated in the Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA) Training conducted by the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD) on August 10 to 14, 2026 at De Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The five-day training enhanced the knowledge and skills of local government practitioners in assessing climate and disaster risks, identifying vulnerable areas and communities and developing risk-informed plans and strategies.

This activity demonstrates the LGU Bubong continued commitment to strengthening climate resilience, improving disaster preparedness and building safer and more resilient communities.

The Local Government Unit of Bubong, through its Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office participated in the Bangsamoro Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Summit 2026.

Representing the Municipality of Bubong at the Bangsamoro DRRM Summit reflects our commitment to continuous learning, stronger partnerships, and enhanced capacity to protect lives, livelihoods and communities from disasters.

Bringing together disaster risk reduction and management practitioners, government agencies and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and advance disaster resilience across the Bangsamoro Region.

The summit was held at Sotogrande Hotel, Davao City on July 28 to 31, 2026.

The Municipal Government of Bubong through its Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2026.

The drill was conducted at Brgy. Dimayon Proper, Bubong, Lanao del Sur on June 18, 2026.

The said activity was participated by Municipal Police Station of Bubong, Barangay Officials, Barangay Peace Action Team and some residents of Brgy. Dimayon Proper.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Bubong participated in the 2nd Lanao del Sur Human-Induced Simulation Exercise "Bomb Drill".

The said activity was conducted by Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Lanao del Sur at Sarimanok Sports Stadium, Brgy. Datu Dansalan, Marawi City on May 21, 2026.

Despite the cancellation of the Gawad Kalasag Seal 2025 awarding, the Office of Civil Defense–BARMM continued to recognize the Municipality of Bubong as a supposed awardee for the Gawad Kalasag Seal 2025.
