PNP NAGPATAYO NG BARANGAY OUTPOST, NAGHATID NG PAG-ASA SA KATUTUBONG PAMAYANAN

Kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng Police Community Relations (PCR) Month, muling ipinakita ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na ang tunay na diwa ng paglilingkod ay higit pa sa pagpapatupad ng batas, ito ay ang pagbuo ng matatag na ugnayan sa mga komunidad sa pamamagitan ng malasakit, pagtutulungan, at serbisyong may puso.

Noong Hulyo 11 at 12, 2026, nagsagawa ng magkahiwalay na community initiatives ang mga tauhan ng Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5). Sa Barangay Sta. Maria, Mobo, Masbate, pinangunahan ng Masbate 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st PMFC), sa pamamagitan ng Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay (R-PSB) Team, ang pagsisimula ng pagtatayo ng Barangay Outpost katuwang ang Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) at mga opisyal ng barangay. Layunin nitong higit pang mapalakas ang police visibility at mapabilis ang pagtugon sa mga pangangailangan ng komunidad.

Samantala, sa Barangay Guisican, Labo, Camarines Norte, nagsanib-puwersa ang Camarines Norte 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company at ang Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development upang maghatid ng community outreach program para sa mga miyembro ng Manide Tribe. Kabilang sa mga isinagawa ang feeding program, libreng pagpapagupit, at pamamahagi ng food packs at vegetable seeds bilang suporta sa kabuhayan at pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan ng mga katutubong pamilya.

Ayon kay Chief PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., ang ganitong mga programa ang tunay na nagpapakita ng kahalagahan ng pakikipag-ugnayan ng kapulisan sa mamamayan.

"Ang Police Community Relations ay hindi lang isang programa o selebrasyon. Isa itong pangako na ang bawat pulis ay magiging mas malapit, mas maaasahan, at mas makatao sa paglilingkod. Kapag ang komunidad at kapulisan ay nagtutulungan, mas nagiging matibay ang pundasyon ng kapayapaan."

Dagdag pa niya, "Nakakatuwang makita ang ating mga kapulisan na hindi lang nagbibigay ng seguridad kundi nagbibigay rin ng pag-asa. Sa simpleng pagtulong, pakikinig, at pakikiisa sa ating mga kababayan, mas nararamdaman nila na ang PNP ay tunay na katuwang ng bawat Pilipino."

Ang mga gawaing ito ay sumasalamin sa layunin ng PNP Focused Agenda na palakasin ang Community Support at isulong ang people-centered policing sa pamamagitan ng aktibong pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga lokal na pamahalaan, stakeholder, at iba't ibang sektor ng lipunan.

Sa paggunita ng Police Community Relations Month, patuloy na isinusulong ng PNP ang Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman, kung saan ang tiwala ng mamamayan ay patuloy na pinatitibay sa bawat mabuting gawa ng bawat pulis.

ROBBERY, MURDER SUSPECTS AMONG REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED IN ILOILO CITY, LANAO DEL NORTE

The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested two Regional Top Most Wanted Persons in separate law enforcement operations conducted on July 14, 2026 in Western Visayas and Northern Mindanao, further strengthening its nationwide campaign to bring wanted individuals before the courts.

In Iloilo City, operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), with the support of local police and intelligence units, arrested a legal-age Filipino who was listed as the No. 10 Regional Most Wanted Person for a robbery case. The arrest was carried out by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Iloilo City, with bail recommended at β‚±200,000.00.

In a separate operation in Lanao del Norte, police tracker teams, working alongside other police and military units, apprehended a legal-age Filipino who was identified as the No. 9 Regional Most Wanted Person for a murder case. The warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court in Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, with no bail recommended for the charge.

The operations form part of the PNP's intensified efforts to locate and arrest wanted persons in support of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to promote safer communities and uphold the rule of law. These accomplishments also reflect the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, through sustained intelligence-driven and coordinated law enforcement efforts nationwide.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for their professionalism and commitment in carrying out the operations.

"The PNP will continue to work closely with the courts and our partner agencies to ensure that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the proper authorities. We remain steadfast in serving the public with fairness, accountability, and respect for the rule of law."

The PNP assures the public that operations against wanted persons will continue across the country as part of its commitment to Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman, anchored on lawful, rights-based, and community-focused policing.

Personnel of Bucay Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by PCMS Jeffree B. Barroga, Chief Operations, under the supervision of PCPT MIGUEL P CAWI JR., Acting Chief of Police, successfully conducted accounting and monitoring of firearm owners with expired firearm registrations as part of the continuous implementation of intensified campaigns against loose fi****ms within the municipality.

As a result of the operation, one (1) firearm owner voluntarily turned over for safekeeping a black 12-gauge ARMSKON Shotgun, together with eight ( 8 ) live ammunition of the same caliber and one (1) rifle bag. Verification revealed that the firearm registration had expired on December 16, 2025.

The firearm is currently under the custody of Bucay MPS for safekeeping while the owner processes the renewal of the corresponding firearm registration and license.
This accomplishment highlights the effectiveness of the intensified campaign against loose fi****ms and demonstrates the cooperation of responsible firearm owners in complying with existing firearm laws and regulations. It also reinforces the commitment of the Bucay Municipal Police Station to maintain peace and order, promote responsible firearm ownership, and ensure public safety within the community.
