An Orientation and Seminar-Workshop on the Utilization of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) Tool is currently underway at the MAO Building, Barangay Poblacion 4, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.

The event brings together members of the Gender and Development Focal Point System - Technical Working Group (GFPS-TWG) of Buenavista, aiming to deepen their understanding and strengthen their capacity to apply gender-responsive approaches in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of local programs and projects.

This activity is especially timely as it coincides with the celebration of Pride Month, reinforcing the commitment to building inclusive, equitable, and safe spaces for all regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. It reflects Buenavista's continued effort to ensure that development truly leaves no one behind.

Letโ€™s continue working together to advance Gender and Development (GAD) principles and uplift every sector of our community.

As stated by Hon. Joselito T. Roble, we must strengthen women's knowledge and continuously uphold their rights. Womenโ€™s Month is a special time to promote women empowerment and advocate for justice against all forms of abuse. With the support of the Philippine Commission on Women, efforts to prevent violence against women (VAW) continue, ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity.

Through unity and support from everyone, we express our respect and commitment to uplifting women. Their success is not just for themselves but for society as a whole. In the new Philippines, no woman should be left behind because when women rise, the nation rises with them!
