𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: With PhilHealth’s mandate to expand benefits and ensure access for all Filipinos to quality and affordable health care services pursuant to the Universal Health Care Act of 2019, a YAKAP Caravan was conducted today, Sep. 7, with Liza Joyce Q. Songcayawon, SIA I/YAKAP Focal Person, and Camille A. Lima, Clerk III/ Membership Focal Person, representing LHIO Antique.

The aforementioned IEC initiative, which aims to showcase the Yaman ng Kalusugan Benefit Package, was made possible as part of the celebration of PhilHealth’s 31st anniversary with a theme, “Ka-YAKAP ang Pilipino sa kalusugang Sigurado!”.

Acting Mayor Susan V. Escote, as represented by Breccio Ostan, Jr., graced the event, along with the attendees, including Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Punong Barangays, Kagawad for Health, and the entire Bugasong Primary Care Facility family, headed by Dr. Irma J. Adayon, MHO, ably assisted by Dr. Donelle Camiña, Doctor to the Barrio (DTTB), and PHN Janet C. Quiatson, Accreditation and Licensing Point Person.

The activity included the provision of YAKAP services, including First Patient Encounter (FPE), consultation, and GAMOT availment, with assistance from PhilHealth representatives for YAKAP clinic assignment, but no MDR or ID issuance.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈: Prof. Ambeth R. Ocampo, the country’s beloved historian visited the Bagtason Loom Weavers Association (BLWA) today, Sep. 6.

He is set to have a lecture on the ideas of our national hero entitled, “RA 1425 @70: Rescuing Rizal from the Rizal Course,” tomorrow, Sep. 7, 1:00 PM, at Cinema 3, Robinson’s Place Antique, San Jose, Antique, duly presented and organized by Vicente R. Gella Family The Life and Legacy of Vicente Rendon Gella, Studio MANO & the Antique Visual Artists Association (AVAA).

Meanwhile, DILG’s LILIAN M. DE LEON, Assistant Secretary for International Relations graced BLWA and the SSF on Salt Production of the Sitio Inolingan Barangay Camangahan Fisherfolks Association (SIBACAFA).

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Office of Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Lady Love B. Requintina convened the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) for its orientation today, Sep. 4, at the TTMF Bldg, Bugasong, Antique.

Topics discussed focus on PNP program updates duly presented by PMSg Evemarie Angelique K. Azurin, as well as reportorial requirements and compliances of 27 barangays.

Present was MIO Richard T. Francisco, representing Hon. Susan V. Escote, OIC-Office of the Municipal Mayor, who thanked the attendees for their presence and lauded for the full cooperation and compliance of all barangays in coordinating, implementing and protecting the welfare of the children in the municipality.

The orientation was attended by BCPC members encompassing Punong Barangays, Brgy. Kagawads Committee Chair on Women and Family, Day Care Workers, and appointed brgy. officials.
