𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬 | 𝗦𝗞 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Minanga Weste, Buguey, Cagayan, successfully held its Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly, bringing together the vibrant youth of the community for a day of engagement, learning, and empowerment.

The assembly featured discussions on upcoming SK activities, including sports programs like the 3x3 (U16) and 5v5 (17–25 years old) basketball leagues, and the much-awaited search for Dalagang Minangeña, with registrations officially opened during the event.

Active young fisherfolks were recognized and registered, and four of them received distributions of “sigay” to support their livelihood, highlighting the SK’s commitment to youth participation in local development. Attendees were also offered personalized incentives to support their individual needs, ensuring everyone benefited meaningfully from the assembly.

The SK also introduced the upcoming Youth Leadership Camp Convergence, designed to enhance leadership skills, promote camaraderie, and strengthen youth involvement in governance.

The KK Assembly underscores the dedication of SK Barangay Minanga Weste in fostering inclusive growth, active participation, and holistic development among the youth.

BUGUEY, CAGAYAN — A post-seminar reflection was successfully conducted through an online meeting via Google Meet under the leadership of Hon. Edgar R. Bugayong Jr., following the Inter-Municipal YFP-KKDAT Officers’ Leadership Convergence 2026 held at 17IB Magapit, Lal-lo, Cagayan.

The activity gathered key youth leaders and stakeholders, including Edwin Binua, Local Youth Development Officer (LYDO) Designate, and Frances Pabillar, Vice President of the KKDAT Buguey Chapter. Also in attendance were the President of Youth for Peace (YFP) and the KKDAT Baggao President, who led the distribution of certificates to the participants.

During the virtual reflection session, attendees actively shared their learning takeaways, personal experiences, and insights gained from the convergence. The discussion also highlighted recommendations aimed at enhancing future leadership initiatives, particularly for upcoming activities in the Municipality of Buguey.

The activity concluded on a positive note, reinforcing collaboration, leadership development, and the commitment of youth leaders to promote peace, unity, and community engagement.

The SK Officials of Barangay Minanga Weste, Buguey, MYC Officials of Buguey, and KKDAT Buguey—headed by Hon. Edgar R. Bugayong Jr.—attended the Inter-Municipal YFP Officers’ Leadership Convergence 2026 held at the 17th Infantry Battalion Sub-Capital, Magapit, Lal-lo, Cagayan.

For three days, youth leaders from different municipalities across Cagayan gathered as one to strengthen leadership, build connections, and exchange ideas. Guided by the theme, “Leading with Integrity, Discipline, and Commitment to Peace,” the convergence emphasized its core goal of empowering the youth as advocates of peace.

More than a leadership platform, the event also became a meaningful space to proudly share the culture of Buguey alongside fellow youth leaders—celebrating diversity, fostering unity, and promoting mutual understanding across communities.

The delegation was composed of Edgar R Bugayong Jr. (KKDAT Buguey President, MYC founding President and SK Chairperon of Barangay Minanga Weste, Buguey), Christian Domingo (MYC Arts and Design Committee and SK Secretary), Johnlloyd Rabanal (SK Tanod and MYC Member), Mark Angelo Sebastian (MYC Sports Coordinator, SK Kagawad, and KKDAT Auditor), Alvin Rapanan (SK Tanod and MYC Member), and Juris Pajarillo (KKDAT Member and Centro West Representative)

Together, they move forward as one—committed to leadership, cultural pride, and the shared mission of Youth for Peace.

KKDAT–Cagayan, Pinarangalan ang SK Chairperson ng Minanga Weste sa 2nd KKDAT Congress

TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN — Pinarangalan ng Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT)–Cagayan si SK Chairperson Hon. Edgar R. Bugayong Jr. ng Minanga Weste, Buguey bilang isa sa mga tumanggap ng Service Award sa ginanap na 2nd KKDAT Congress sa Ivory Hotel, Buntun, Tuguegarao City.

Kinatawan ni Bugayong ang Bayan ng Buguey at kabilang siya sa limang KKDAT representatives na matagumpay na nagpresenta at nagtanggol ng kanilang Group Project Proposal, na nagpakita ng mahusay na pamumuno, tapang, at dedikasyon sa adbokasiya ng KKDAT.

Bukod dito, kinilala rin ang kanyang aktibong partisipasyon at mahusay na pagganap sa Digitalinong Cagayan, kung saan siya ay nagtala ng Rank 1 sa mga unang bahagi ng post-test at Rank 9 sa kabuuang ranggo. Ang tagumpay na ito ay sumasalamin sa kanyang kahusayan, kaalaman, at malasakit sa makabuluhang paglilingkod sa kabataan at komunidad.

Ang pagkilalang ito mula sa KKDAT–Cagayan ay patunay ng patuloy na kontribusyon ni Hon. Bugayong sa pagsusulong ng kamalayang panlipunan, kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga, at pagpigil sa terorismo. Ang kanyang tagumpay ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa mga kabataang lider ng Buguey at KKDAT.

Minanguenians, Nagningning sa Mr. Buguey Malaga at Ms.Buguey Guraman 2025: Paulino Raquiño, Itinanghal na Kampeon!

BUGUEY, CAGAYAN — Muling pinatunayan ng Barangay Minanga Weste at Este ang kanilang galing at husay sa entablado matapos ang matagumpay na paglahok ng kanilang mga kinatawan sa Mr. Buguey Malaga at Ms. Buguey Guraman 2025, tampok sa ika-4 na pagdiriwang ng Malaga at Guraman Festival.

Itinanghal bilang Mr. Buguey Malaga 2025 si Mr. Paulino Raquiño, na kinatawan ng Minanga Weste. Bukod sa korona, naiuwi rin niya ang mga sumusunod na parangal:

Hindi rin nagpahuli si Ms. Carisse Reintegrado na nag-uwi ng 1st Runner-Up sa Ms. Buguey Guraman 2025. Sa parehong kompetisyon, kinilala rin si Mr. Gilbert Duque bilang Mr. Congeniality 2025 dahil sa kanyang magandang pakikitungo at personalidad.

Samantala, kinatawan naman ng Barangay Minanga Este si Ms. Gabriela Regunton, na buong tapang at kumpiyansang nagpakita ng galing bilang opisyal na kalahok ng kanilang barangay.

Ang lahat ng kinatawan ay nagbigay karangalan sa Minanga, dala ang kanilang dignidad, talento, at pagmamalaki sa pinagmulan. Tunay ngang Minanguenians wear the crown with pride!
