The day continued with a productive and forward looking dialogue with the Cordillera Agricultural Research and Extension Organization (C.A.R.E.O), centered on strengthening collaboration for the advancement of agriculture in the province. The engagement became a meaningful platform for the exchange of insights and perspectives, with strong emphasis on listening closely to ground realities and the lived experiences of our farming communities, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.

It also opened vital pathways to contribute in little ways that collectively create meaningful impact, supporting the continuous improvement of agricultural development and extension services that are responsive, inclusive, and firmly grounded in real needs.

Moving forward, the commitment remains unwavering to transform dialogue into purposeful and sustained action.

Grateful to have started the week in the Municipality of Sablan as we celebrated the 1st Farmers and Fisherfolk Month Celebration 2026, anchored on the theme “Pagpupugay sa Magsasaka at Mangingisda: Haligi ng Seguridad sa Pagkain.” This meaningful gathering paid tribute to the unwavering dedication of our farmers and fisherfolk, the true pillars of food security and sustainability in our communities.

May the words we shared ignite a deeper sense of purpose, strengthen solidarity, and uplift the dignity of those who tirelessly work the land, and rivers. May these reflections continue beyond this celebration and inspire lasting action, commitment, and support for our agricultural and fishing sectors.

May our fields remain fertile, our harvests abundant, and our rivers and waters rich with life. May our farmers and fisherfolk remain empowered, resilient, and valued as we move forward together toward a more food secure and sustainable future.

Agri-Tourism Fair officially opens today, November 17, 2025!

This morning, the Provincial Local Government Unit led by Hon. Melchor D. Diclas formally opened the Agri-Tourism Fair at Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet. Incumbent and former officials came in full support, proudly showcasing their agri-tourism booths for this year’s celebration.

Hon. Neptali Camsol welcomed everyone with heartfelt thanks for the continued support of the community. He encouraged the public to join the programs prepared by the Provincial Agriculture Office and wrapped up with his signature line:
“Come one, come all, Camsol welcomes you to the 2025 Adivay Agri-Tourism Fair!”

This year’s message was shared by Constantino T. Sudaypan, PhD, Dean of the College of Agriculture at Benguet State University. He highlighted their mantra that agriculture is our past, the present, and the future, and shared research-based recommendations while calling for strengthened agricultural extension services.

The program concluded with the blessing and formal opening of the agri-tourism booths, now ready for everyone to visit and enjoy.
