Regional Office on Wheels at Buguias NHS!

The Buguias National High School and Buguias Central School community successfully hosted the DepEd-CAR Regional Office and SDO Benguet on December 12, 2025, for the Regional Office on Wheels cm Outreach Activity.

Under the Salaknib Tan Namnama Program, regional and division officials visited our campus to:
✅ Monitor the implementation of programs and the progress of our learner-beneficiaries.
✅ Provide vital technical assistance for our ongoing Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs).

We are grateful for the visit and the continued support from the Regional Office and SDO Benguet in ensuring our learners receive the best guidance and service. Thank you for choosing Buguias NHS as one of your stops! 💙🍎

The Buguias National High School (BNHS) delegates made a commendable showing at the 2025 Benguet Provincial Athletic Meet, held from December 1-5 in La Trinidad. Under the guidance of coaches Jenaliza P. Bastian and Herjalin G. Balisto, the student-athletes demonstrated skill and dedication across various disciplines.

The gymnastics team, composed of Jensen Kyle Ba-oy, Rihanna Daulan, and Quihannah Jane Balisto, proudly secured a Bronze Medal. This medal haul was complemented by Gepsy Jiselle Langbis, who also earned a Bronze Medal in Taekwondo.

Additionally, the BNHS contingent saw strong representation in team sports, with Janna Merie Guillao and Jezrel Neev Catalino leading the Basketball Girls' and Boys' teams, respectively. In Athletics, both Shandrij Langpa and Khezie Dayaoen advanced to become finalists in their respective events, highlighting the depth of talent at Buguias National High School.

🌟 Triumphant Run at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2025! 🌟

The Buguias National High School community is bursting with pride as we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our campus journalists at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held in Kapangan last December 9-12, 2025! Our students excelled across numerous categories, demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication.

We had a strong showing with multiple finalists across both English and Filipino categories: Charise Gail Calpasi (English Feature), Jashly Trish Carino (Filipino Feature), Revelyn Pacliwan (English Sports), Austine Jean Canute (English News), Charlene Jhenn Bastian (Filipino News), Lislyn Faye Bigo (English Column), Michael Angelo Andayan (Filipino Column), Yeshly Fayne Tayaban (English Editorial), Myjen Magciano (Filipino Editorial), Gepsy Jiselle Langbis (English Science), Jillian Kate Kidoyan (Filipino Science), Leah Basite (Filipino Copy Reading), and the tandem of Khiexharain and Roxane (English Mobile Journalism). Filipino Radio Broadcasting Team—composed of Sebrianne Lesly Laduan, Michael Angelo Andayan, Shula Mae Langpa, Yeshly Fayne Tayaban, Leoneil Apilis, Leaghey Apilis, and Lislyn Faye Bigo.

We also secured impressive top spots, including Sebrianne Lesly Laduan (8th Place, English Editorial Cartooning) and Tristan Carl Olsim (5th Place, Filipino Mobile Journalism).

These successes are a testament to the tireless efforts of our dedicated coaches, Ma'am Gina G. Apilis (Filipino), Ma'am Rizza Grael L. Pengla (English) and Ma'am Nita V. Calion. We extend our deepest gratitude to our supportive School Head, Mr. Luis D. Igualdo, for championing campus journalism.
