Sagandoy IS Stakeholders Convene for ‘Bayanihan’ Construction Project

AMGALEYGUEY, BUGUIAS— Strengthening the spirit of community cooperation, key local officials and education stakeholders recently held a coordination meeting for the Bayanihan Construction project at Sagandoy Integrated School.
The meeting was highlighted by a site visit from the Schools Division Office (SDO) Benguet technical team, led by Sir Arvin M. Doman, Senior Education Program Specialist (SEPS) for Social Mobilization and Networking. He was joined by Arch. Denver E. Sin-ot, DepEd Architect (TA IV), who provided technical expertise regarding the infrastructure plans.
The session aimed to harmonize efforts between the local government and the school community to ensure the successful implementation of the upcoming improvements. Key leaders in attendance included:
Hon. Jerahmeel B. Lasegan, Municipal Councilor.
Mr. Onofre D. Limpayos, Public Schools District In-Charge (PSDI) of Buguias District.
Hon. Allan M. Bacquian Sr. and Hon. Jane Maximo, Barangay Kagawads.
Ms. Claire M. Balasin, School Head, together with the faculty and staff of Sagandoy IS.
Mr. Dominic Awal, PTA President, along with PTA Officers and community stakeholders.
The "Bayanihan" approach remains a cornerstone of local development in Buguias, ensuring that the government, DepEd division experts, and the community play an active role in providing better facilities for learners.

Inviting all parents and guardians to register for Early Registration for Incoming Kinder, Grade 1, Grade 7, OSCYA, Back to School, and Transferees.

📅 Schedule:
🗓 January 31 – February 27, 2026
⏰ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

📌 Important Reminder:
✔ Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old on or before October 31, 2026
✔ Children born November 1 – December 31, 2026 may still be considered if ECCD requirements are met

📄 Requirements:
• PSA Birth Certificate (Photocopy)
• Accomplished Early Registration Form
• Proof of previous grade (if applicable)

📌 LEGAL BASIS / OFFICIAL REFERENCE

Early Registration is in accordance with DepEd national policies, specifically to:
• DepEd Order No. 03, s. 2018 (Basic Education Enrollment Policy)
• DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2023 (Amendments to the Enrollment Policy)

📌 Age cut-off and general guidelines are the same nationwide.
📌However, the schedule and specific instructions are implemented through the Regional and Division Memorandum.

Sagandoy IS Triumphs in District Festival of Talents for SNEd Learners

The school proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its Special Needs Education (SNEd) learners during the recent District Festival of Talents.

Juribel emerged as 1st place winner in the Secondary Dance Category, while Airyx Justyne secured 1st place in the Draw and Tell competition. Both learners will represent the Buguias District in the upcoming DFOT for SNEd in La Trinidad, Benguet, showcasing their exceptional skills on a wider stage.

Adding to the school’s success, Zack and Aldrik earned 2nd place in their respective events, bringing honor and recognition to the school.
