The DILG-Benguet Provincial Office, represented by MLGOO Ronnel F. Ramirez, participated in the DepEd SDO Benguet's division level Brigada Eskwela and Oplan Balik Eskwela Kick-Off Program 2026, as well as the Ceremonial Groundbreaking of the Salaknib tan Namnama School Building in Sagandoy Integrated School located at Pusel, Amgaleyguey, Buguias, Benguet, on June 1, 2026.

The activity showcased the continued support and partnership of the local government units, national government agencies, and community partners in preparing public schools across the province for the opening of classes and improving school facilities for the benefit of learners.

START OF THE SOUTHWEST MONSOON

Ahead of the possible onset of the rainy season, the DOST-PAGASA officially announces the start of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat over the Philippines, which is one of the precursors of the onset of the rainy season.

As Habagat becomes the dominant weather system, occasional to frequent rains and thunderstorms are expected, particularly over the western sections of the country. These conditions may signal the possible onset of the rainy season in the coming days.

However, there may be rain breaks that last a few days or weeks, known as monsoon breaks.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | DILG Benguet Strengthens Workforce Wellness through Physical and Mental Fitness Development Program.

“𝘈𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘦,” as once said by Henry de Bracton.

Guided by this principle, the DILG Benguet conducted its Physical and Mental Fitness Development Program today, May 28, 2026, in line with its commitment to promoting the health, well-being, and camaraderie of its personnel.

The activity featured a hiking activity at Mount Kalugong, a Zumba session, and a meaningful “Sharing of Good Vibes” segment aimed at fostering positivity, teamwork, and stronger interpersonal relationships among employees.

Through initiatives such as this, the DILG Benguet continues to uphold the importance of maintaining a healthy, resilient, and motivated workforce toward the effective delivery of public service.
