Buguias residents gained access to essential services through the HEALTHIER Benguet Caravan held on April 23 at the Socio-Cultural & Evacuation Center in Loo, bringing government programs closer to our communities. Residents benefited from medical and dental care, laboratory services, consultations, free medicines, thyroid screening, paralegal and veterinary services, real property tax payment, distribution of arabica coffee seedlings and agricultural inputs, AICS assistance, and IT services.
The activity also saw the participation of national line agencies: PRC for ID renewal, PSA for National ID registration and CBMS services, DSWD-CAR for assistance payout to drivers, PhilHealth for membership registration, and NBI for clearance processing—ensuring accessible and convenient services in one venue.
This successful initiative was made possible through the strong partnership of the Provincial Government of Benguet led by Governor Melchor Diclas - Benguet and Vice Governor Marie Rose T. Fongwan-Kepes, and the Municipal Government of Buguias headed by Mayor Julius Amos. Acting Mayor Jose Bayas Jr. delivered the opening remarks on behalf of Mayor Julius Amos, while Governor Melchor D. Diclas and Vice Governor Marie Rose T. Fongwan-Kepes shared their messages of support. Acting Vice Mayor Vicente Kitongan, in turn, delivered the closing remarks.
Board Members Ruben Tinda-an , Romeo K. Salda, Armando I. LAURO, Johannes A. Amuasen, Jim G. Botiwey, Neptali B. Camsol, Lady Charmaine S. Likigan-Molitas, and Benjamin G. Palbusa, together with municipal and barangay officials, were also present to show their support.
