Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆,𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, BFP Regional Office 5, and under the direct supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐏 𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐑, 𝐃𝐒𝐂 ,Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Camarines Sur, the personnel of BFP R5 – Buhi Fire Station, headed by 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐘 𝐋𝐄𝐄 𝐉𝐑, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, were deployed at the Border Control Point in Brgy. Burocbusoc, Buhi, Camarines Sur, in support of the implementation of preventive measures against 𝐀𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 (𝐀𝐒𝐅).

The deployment aims to assist in monitoring and controlling the movement of animals and animal products, as well as to support the concerned authorities in safeguarding the community and preventing the possible spread of 𝐀𝐒𝐅 within the municipality.

𝐀 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂

When the alarm sounds, firefighters and other emergency responders move toward danger so that others may be safe. They are trained for the situations they face and each one is on the scene to carry out the duty their agency is mandated to perform.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 5 under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, and other response agencies are simply doing their official duties. We understand that emergencies bring fear, stress and frustration, especially when things do not go as expected because of circumstances beyond the responders’ control. In these moments, we appeal to the public to stay calm, follow instruction and give responders the space they need to work.

Violence against responders is never acceptable. 𝐍𝐎 𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘, 𝐍𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐒 and 𝐍𝐎 𝐅𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 justifies harming the people who came to help. Physical attacks, threats and intimidation put responders at risk, delay the help that others are waiting for and may result in legal consequences.

The same goes for harassment, insults and hateful or abusive comments whether in person or online. If you have concerns or complaints, there are proper channels for it. Raise it after the incident not during the response.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆,𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, BFP Regional Office 5, and under the direct supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐏 𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐑, 𝐃𝐒𝐂 ,Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Camarines Sur, and BFP R5 – Buhi Fire Station, headed by 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐘 𝐋𝐄𝐄 𝐉𝐑, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, together with the deployed BFP personnel, provided fire safety, emergency response, and safety and security assistance during the Fluvial Procession 2026.

The fluvial procession commenced at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Church, proceeding to the lakeside area of Buhi, Camarines Sur. and utilized a boat and accompanied the procession across Lake Buhi, traversing the waters toward Maguindara, Buhi, Camarines Sur, and continuing up to Sitio Pito.

The activity was conducted to ensure the safety and security of all participants throughout the procession, particularly during the waterborne portion of the religious celebration. The deployed BFP personnel remained on standby and maintained readiness to respond to any fire, water-related emergency, or other untoward incident that may arise during the activity.

The lecture was facilitated by FO2 Cris Marjun C Almazan, together with FO1 John Anthony C Berjuega who discussed the importance of having adequate knowledge of fire hose components to ensure their proper and effective utilization during firefighting operations.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and practical understanding of the Criminology Interns regarding fire hose components, proper inspection, handling, and evaluation, there for preparing them for effective participation in emergency and firefighting operations.

The activity was organized by the BFP Buhi Fire Station in coordination with various partner agencies, organizations, and community stakeholders, including the Philippine National Police (PNP) Buhi Municipal Police Station, Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, Alpha Phi Omega Buhi, Kaakibat Civicom International Incorporated – Buhi, Buhi Barit Watershed Area Team (BBWAT), Buhi Organization of Mountain Bikers, Inc. (BOMB), Public Safety Office (PSO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Buhi, Local Government Unit (LGU) of Buhi, Birthing Home, together with Mr. and Mrs. Orbita, and the interns from Ceguera Technological College of Criminology.

The tree planting activity was conducted in Barangay Icbac headed by Punong Barangay Maricel Cornelio, with the participation and support of the Adopt-A-Forest owner, Mr. Ramiro Condat Merillos.

The activity aimed to promote environmental protection, strengthen community participation, and encourage collective responsibility in preserving and restoring forest areas. The participation of different government agencies, organizations, private stakeholders, and students demonstrated the importance of unity and cooperation in creating a greener, healthier, and safer community.
