A total of 67 college students from Barangay Ombao Polpog received financial assistance from the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) - Ombao Polpog during the latest payout, reaffirming the council's commitment to making higher education more accessible for the youth.

The activity marked the second release of the SK Educational Assistance Program during the current SK Administration, benefiting 62 college students enrolled in various colleges and universities. A total of โ‚ฑ70,000 was distributed to help students with their educational needs as they prepare for another academic year.

Alongside the educational assistance distribution, the SK Ombao Polpog also released the second batch of its OJT Financial Assistance Program, where five (5) college student interns received โ‚ฑ3,000 each, amounting to โ‚ฑ15,000. The assistance is intended to help cover the expenses of interns related to their on-the-job training, including transportation, meals, and other internship requirements.

The distribution of cash assistance was graced by Hon. Emma Esta, who shared words of encouragement with the student-beneficiaries. In her message, she reminded college students to remain focused on their education, make the most of every opportunity, and continue striving to achieve their dreams despite the challenges they may encounter.

These assistance programs reflect the SK Council's commitment to supporting the education of Ombao Polpog's youth through proactive policy-making and advocacy.

The SK Educational Assistance Program was championed by SK Kagawad Joshua Sistoso, while the SK OJT Financial Assistance Program was initiated by SK Kagawad John Earl Sopeรฑa.

Hindi man nito masagot ang lahat ng gastusin sa pag-aaral, umaasa ang SK na ang bawat tulong na naipagkakaloob ay magsisilbing paalala sa bawat estudyante na may SK Ombao Polpog na naniniwala sa kanilang kakayahan at pangarap.

Naging matagumpay ang isinagawang pagpupulong para sa programang โ€œBawat Barangay Makinabangโ€ kasama ang mga inaasahang graduating college students para sa Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 at kanilang mga magulang o guardian, ngayong Hunyo 23, 2026 sa Barangay Hall.

Tinalakay sa naturang pagpupulong ang mga kwalipikasyon at kabuuang layunin ng programa upang mabigyan ng malinaw na gabay ang mga magiging aplikante. Ang pagpupulong ay pinangunahan ng Barangay Council, sa pangunguna ni PB Lani Habana at Brgy. Kgwd. Virgilio Babila (Chairperson, Committee on Education), kasama ang ilang SK Officials na dinaluhan nina SK Kagawads Joshua Sistoso, John Earl Sopeรฑa, at Jericho Clemeรฑa.

In line with its commitment to promote quality education and support the youth sector, the SK Ombao Polpog successfully released a total of โ‚ฑ40,000 financial assistance to twelve (12) college students currently undergoing internship or on-the-job training (OJT).

The initiative aims to help students with their daily expenses and other necessities during their internship period as they continue pursuing their academic and professional goals.

SK Ombao Polpog reaffirmed its commitment to creating programs that prioritize the welfare, education, and future of the youth in the community.

Hon. John Earl Sopeรฑa delivered the opening remarks and stated the purpose of the activity, emphasizing the importance of supporting students in their educational journey and internship endeavors.

The event was graced by Hon. Emma Esta, Barangay Kagawad-on-Duty of the Barangay Council, who delivered a simple yet inspiring message to the student beneficiaries during the release of financial assistance.
