𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭: 𝐀𝐁𝐅𝐒 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚. 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬
Nagsagawa ng Harvest Festival at Farmers’ Field Day ang DA–Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) ABFS Implementation Team ng Region III noong March 4, 2026 sa Barangay Canaynayan, Sta. Cruz, Zambales.
Ito ay bilang pagpapasalamat sa matagumpay na implementasyon ng proyekto, sa masaganang ani ng mga magsasakang kabilang dito, at bilang pagkilala sa pagtutulungan at matibay na samahang nabuo mula nang simulan ang implementasyon ng ABFS sa probinsya.
Dinaluhan ang programa ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan kabilang ang DA-Regional Field Office III, National Irrigation Administration (NIA) ng Zambales, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) ng Zambales, Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) ng Sta. Cruz, Zambales, at humigit kumulang 104 na magsasaka mula sa Brgy. Canaynayan.
Sa nasabing programa, nagbahagi din ang mga benipisyaryo ng proyekto na patuloy silang gagawa ng mga hakbang upang patuloy na alagaan at palusugin ang kanilang mga lupang sakahan, sa pamamagitan ng mga teknolohiyang naituro sa kanila ng BSWM. | via ABFS Region 3 Implementation Team

|| STRENGTHENING RESEARCH CAPABILITY: BSWM-NSWRRDC LUPEZ HOLDS TRAINING ON PLANT MONITORING INSTRUMENTS
The DA-Bureau of Soils and Water Management – National Soil and Water Resources Research and Development Center for Lowland-Upland Pedo-Ecological Zone (DA-BSWM-NSWRRDC LUPEZ) is currently conducting capacity enhancement training on the use of specialized plant physiology instruments. These include the Porometer, an instrument that measures the stomatal conductance of plant leaves; the Fluorometer, which measures chlorophyll fluorescence and indicates the efficiency of photosynthesis; and the Plant Canopy Analyzer, which measures the structure of the plant canopy or the leaves covering a specific area
This training marks an important step toward advancing the Center’s research-for-development initiatives. By strengthening the technical skills of researchers and staff in using these instruments, the activity aims to improve data collection, monitoring, and interpretation that will support the development of reliable soil and water management technologies.
The training sessions were facilitated by Sigmatech Inc., represented by Mr. Sebastian Jesus Gonzales (Sales Chemist), Mr. Brix Molo (Application Chemist), Mr. Ramon Karlo Marcaida Jr. (Sales Engineer), and Mr. Nicollo Gonzales (Sales Engineer), who provided technical guidance and hands-on demonstrations on the proper operation and application of the instruments in research. | via Alvin Brylle Concepcion, NSWRRDZ-LUPEZ)
