14 May 2026| Celebrating life, motherhood, and community at the Buntis Congress 2026 of Buldon led by Pahmia A. Manalao-Masurong.

Informative presentations and lectures on maternal health, proper prenatal care, and safe pregnancy practices were conducted by the RHU Buldon, equipping mothers with essential knowledge for a healthy pregnancy journey.

The BRAVE Advocates also shared an important discussion on birth registration and its vital role in securing every child’s identity, protection, and rights. Meanwhile, MPS Buldon expressed its support in promoting the welfare, safety, and well-being of mothers and families in the community.

As part of the program, buntis kits, groceries, and rice were also distributed to participating mothers to provide additional support and assistance for their health and daily needs.

Together, we continue to promote healthier mothers, safer pregnancies, and stronger families for a brighter and more hopeful future for the community.

13 May 2026| Orientation on Interoperability of Birth Registration under the BRAVE Project Held in Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte

The Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) recently conducted an orientation on the BRAVE Project’s interoperability of birth registration in Barangay Oring, Buldon. The event aimed to empower local communities by enhancing knowledge of birth registration’s role in securing legal identity and access to essential services.

The session brought together key stakeholders, including School Heads, Midwives from the Rural Health Unit of Buldon, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), BRAVE Advocates, and the Municipal Local Civil Registrar. Participants learned how digital interoperability streamlines the registration process, reducing bureaucratic hurdles for families. The discussion also emphasized the importance of community engagement in raising awareness and encouraging families to register their children’s births.

The BRAVE Project is a collaborative initiative supported by UNICEF, UNHCR, the Government of Japan, and local partners including CFSI, PSA-BARMM, RELIEF, and MSSD. Its goal is to improve vital registration systems and prevent statelessness in marginalized communities. Local stakeholders are urged to continue supporting these efforts to ensure every child in Buldon and surrounding areas receives a legal identity.

LGU-Buldon, under the leadership of Mayor Pahmia A. Manalao-Masurong, together with the Iranun Corridor mayors, paid a courtesy visit to OPAPRU Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento, reaffirming their shared commitment to peacebuilding and long-term development for the communities of the Iranun Corridor.

The delegation also participated in the consultation meeting for the proposed Integrated Infrastructure and Investment Development Plan for the Iranun Corridor, together with the mayors and representatives of the Iranun Corridor municipalities.

The LGU-Buldon team also joined the meeting with the Institute for Autonomy and Governance, through its Executive Director Atty. Benedicto Bacani, for the Iranun Caucus of the Iranun Development Council. The caucus serves as a platform for building consensus among Iranun communities in the Bangsamoro.

These engagements provided meaningful opportunities strengthen coordination among the Iranun municipalities, and advance the vision for sustainable growth and peace-centered development.

𝐌𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐘𝐀 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐧 | The Municipality of Buldon, through its Local Chief Executive, Hon. Mayor Pahmia A. Manalao-Masurong, and key employees, proudly participated in the 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐄𝐁𝐃𝐌) 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 held on May 04–07, 2026 at Acacia Hotel, Davao City.

The 4-day workshop was facilitated and organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), MOH-BARMM, KOICA, and MILG, bringing together participating municipalities from Maguindanao del Norte and Cotabato City.

This engagement strengthens the Municipality’s commitment to advancing data-driven governance, improving planning mechanisms, enhancing resource allocation, and crafting responsive policies based on reliable evidence and community needs.

LGU Buldon Joins Nationwide Observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month 2026

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Buldon proudly joins the nationwide observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month 2026, reaffirming its commitment to delivering efficient, transparent, and citizen-centered public service.

In line with this year’s observance, the LGU continues to strengthen its efforts in streamlining government processes, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and improving service delivery for entrepreneurs, investors, and the general public. These initiatives aim to foster a more business-friendly environment that supports local economic growth and development.

The Municipality of Buldon, led by Municipal Mayor 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗣𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗮 𝗔. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼-𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴, together with Vice Mayor 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗶𝘀 𝗔. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼 and the delegation of LGU Buldon, participated in the IDC Study Tour on Inter-Local Cooperation.

The activity was also participated in by other Iranun mayors from IDC member municipalities, including the local chief executives of Parang, Matanog, and Barira, together with their respective delegations.

The study tour aims to strengthen cooperation among local government units by learning from successful models of collaboration, urban development, economic growth, and public service innovation.

Among the highlights of the first leg of the study tour in Iloilo City were visits to the Iloilo Esplanade, Iloilo Terminal Market, Iloilo Central Market, and the engagement with the Metro Iloilo-Guimaras Economic Development Council, an inter-LGU alliance known for promoting coordinated development across Iloilo City, nearby municipalities, and Guimaras. The delegation also visited the office of the Northern Iloilo Alliance for Development (NIAD) for another meaningful learning opportunity on inter-local cooperation and collaborative development.

The second leg of the learning visit continues in Cagayan de Oro City, where the IDC delegation is set to engage with the Macajalar Bay Development Alliance (MBDA). This visit provides another opportunity to learn from an established alliance model focused on inter-local cooperation, shared development planning, and governance.

Through this activity, the Municipality of Buldon and the whole IDC show strong commitment to learning, collaboration, and innovation as they continue to work toward one shared vision for progress.
