𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘁, 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆

The Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) conducted a solar light monitoring activity on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM to evaluate the recently installed street lighting system. This initiative aims to ensure optimal performance and identify potential technical issues early. The administration seeks to make the solar lighting systems to be monitored even after installment. Through proactive maintenance, the Provincial Government reinforces community security and provides reliable night-time illumination.

𝗥𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗖𝗕𝗔𝗖 (𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗻, 𝗚𝗦𝗞𝗣, 𝗠𝗗𝗦)

On August 3, 2026, the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO) initiated the rehabilitation of a 0.75 km farm-to-market road connecting the Coconut Plantation in GSKP to the main highway

The project comes in response to a request from Wahid Manenged, President of the Brgy. Campo Bangsamoro Agricultural Cooperative (BCBAC). Current expansion efforts for the local coconut oil refinery plant have been severely delayed by the poor road conditions. Frequent flooding and thick mud rendered the route impassable, causing delivery vehicles to get stuck and forcing workers to manually transport construction materials to the site.

This road rehabilitation project aims to restore reliable access, ensure safe transport, and allow the refinery’s expansion to proceed without further interruption.

𝗣𝗘𝗢 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗹, 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘁, 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿

As part of its continuing infrastructure development efforts, the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur has started the installation of forty (40) units of solar street lights in Barangay Kakal, Paglat, Maguindanao del Sur.

The installation of these street lights aims to improve visibility and safety along the road, especially during nighttime. It will help provide safer travel for motorists, pedestrians, and residents in the area.

More solar street lights are also set to be installed along other roads across the province to support the Provincial Government’s continuing efforts to improve road safety and provide better infrastructure and services to communities in Maguindanao del Sur.

The Provincial Engineering Office (PEO), with the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region XII, has expanded its waterway clearing operations to Talayan, Maguindanao del Sur, led by the Waterway Support Team.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 : 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄

The Provincial Engineering Office (PEO), in coordination with the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), and DPWH Region XII spearheaded the clearing operations along the heavily silted Buluan Riverside on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

The joint operation focused on removing built-up mud, silt, and water hyacinths to restore normal water flow and improve overall river health. Clearing these obstructions will significantly ease water movement and reduce clogging along the waterways.

𝗣𝗘𝗢 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿

The PEO Engineers attended the Flood Mitigation Summit spearheaded by the DPWH this July 24, 2026l in Cotabato City.

In his presentation Engr. Diao discussed the background of the rivers and body of water siltation. He also showed the accomplishments in the Clearing Activities in Maguindanao del Sur and the recent flooding caused by Typhoon Inday in Guindulungan, Ampatuan, Talayan, Datu Piang to name a few. There was also the session short and long -term interventions that the government is presently focused on.

In attendance are the various agencies collaborating in The Oplan Kontra Baha Program headed by DPWH Undersecretary Charles T. Calima Jr., Commander of the Oplan Kontra Baha (OKB) Task Force; Regional Director, DPWH Region XII, Cayamombao D. Dia, CESO III; Assistant Regional Director; DPWH Region XII Soraya Ibrahim; DPWH UPMO-FCMC (Bureau of Equipment) Engr. Harold Uyap; Sur, Provincial General Services Office Head, Saddam Hussien Nur, PEO Team Delegate Engr. Rafsanjani Camsa ; Representatives from the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Maguindanao del Norte, and Lanao del Sur.

Coordinated flood mitigation efforts across the Mindanao River Basin are expected to intensify, with dredging equipment already mobilized and emergency protocols being synchronized between national agencies, the BARMM framework, and local governments.

Following an initial courtesy visit on July 2, 2026, the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) conducted an onsite inspection at the Shariff Aguak District Jail on July 23, 2026. The inspection team gathered precise site measurements for the proposed facility enhancements, which include a covered court, jail barracks, an administrative office with a kitchen, primary and secondary perimeter fencing, and a dedicated water system.

This project aims to improve living conditions for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) while providing better facility resources for jail management personnel.

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗹, 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘁

The Provincial Engineer's Office (PEO) has installed concrete pedestals for solar street lights in Brgy. Kakal, Paglat, Maguindanao del Sur.

These concrete bases lay the groundwork for mounting the light posts along a 2-kilometer road section. A total of 80 units of 100-watt solar streetlights will be deployed to enhance visibility and ensure public safety in the area.
Additional solar lighting projects are slated for implementation across other barangays in the province as part of PEO's ongoing infrastructure development initiatives.

The Provincial Engineer's Office (PEO) has completed three multi-purpose buildings, including a training center in Rajah Buayan, one in Sultan Sa Barongis, and a learning hub in Shariff Saidona Mustapha, across Maguindanao del Sur. These facilities serve as vital community assets dedicated to advancing educational opportunities for both children and adults.

A Multi-Purpose Building that will serve as a Training Center has been constructed within the Rajah Buayan Municipal Hall compound.

The facility is designed to provide a dedicated venue for trainings, seminars, workshops, meetings, and other capacity-building activities for municipal employees, community leaders, and residents. It will also support the implementation of government programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening public service and community development.
