Animal Health Mission under the GIVE HEART Program
The Animal Health Mission under the GIVE HEART Program of the Province of Maguindanao del Sur successfully conducted animal healthcare services in the municipalities of Buluan and Mangudadatu, bringing essential veterinary interventions closer to local communities. The activity aimed to promote animal health, prevent diseases, improve livestock productivity, and support the livelihoods of farmers and animal raisers.
During the implementation of the program, a total of 406 animal health services were rendered to various livestock and poultry species, including cattle, goats, chickens, and ducks. Among the services provided were 24 anti-rabies vaccinations to protect animals and communities from rabies, 3 castration procedures to support proper livestock management, 13 deworming treatments to control internal parasites and improve animal health, and 25 vitamin supplementation services to enhance the immunity and overall condition of animals.
In addition to these interventions, numerous veterinary consultations, disease prevention measures, treatments, and other animal healthcare services were provided, contributing significantly to the total number of services delivered. These efforts helped ensure the health and productivity of livestock and poultry, which are vital sources of income and food security for many families in the area.
The successful conduct of the Animal Health Mission demonstrates the continued commitment of the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur through the GIVE HEART Program in promoting animal welfare and supporting agricultural communities. By providing accessible and timely veterinary services, the program contributes to healthier animals, improved livelihoods, and stronger, more resilient communities. The activity reflects the provinceβs dedication to serving its constituents with compassion, excellence, and a genuine commitment to sustainable rural development.
