Synopsis
At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "ADA" {NOKAEN} was estimated based on all available data at 400 km East of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte (10.3°N, 129.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 15 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

In the interest of public safety, the Local Government Unit of Burauen announces the suspension of classes at all levels, both public and private, on January 16, 2026, due to the effects of Tropical Cyclone “ADA” which continues to bring heavy rains and possible flooding.

The safety and well-being of our students, teachers, and school personnel remain our top priority. We urge everyone to stay indoors, remain vigilant, and follow advisories from authorities.
