LGU BURAUEN UPDATES LOCAL TAX AND REVENUE CODE

MLGOO Juvy C. Pedrera joined department heads and key personnel of LGU Burauen on August 27, 2026, for the presentation and critiquing of the proposed 2026 Local Tax and Revenue Code (LTRC).

The workshop focused on revising and modernizing the municipality’s local revenue measures to align with updated national tax policies, state regulations, and current economic conditions. LGU BURAUEN CONDUCTS TABLE VALIDATION FOR THE SEARCH FOR MOST CHILD-FRIENDLY BARANGAY AWARDS

The committee for the Search for the Most Child-Friendly Barangay Awards in Burauen convened on August 26, 2026, to conduct the table assessment and document validation submitted by participating barangays. This annual search is a key initiative of LGU Burauen to recognize barangays that demonstrate outstanding performance in promoting children's rights, safety, and welfare.

The assessment is anchored on the Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) framework, which evaluates local policies, programs, and budget allocations geared toward children. Through this audit, barangays are evaluated across key areas of child development: survival, development, protection, participation, and governance.

The table validation was attended by MLGOO Pedrera, alongside MSWDO Lomahan. They were joined by representatives from various LGU offices, each thoroughly discussing and reviewing the submitted Means of Verification (MOVs) by the barangays.

Following this, the committee will proceed to the next phase: the Onsite Validation. During this stage, the committee will conduct barangay visitations, inspect barangay child-focused facilities, and validate the actual implementation of presented accomplishments.
