From collision to comeback 💚

This little Philippine Scops Owl was found injured after hitting a glass window in Barangay Lucaban, Burgos, Ilocos Sur—one of the hidden dangers wildlife face every day. Thankfully, it was reported by Mr. Christian Rio Balbalan and he given the care it needed to heal.

After rest and recovery, it regained its strength and now it’s back where it belongs to free in the wild 🌿✨

A gentle reminder: even small changes like making windows more bird-friendly can save lives.

In compliance with Memorandum Order No. 2026-04 issued by Hon. Annabelle Filart Escobar, Municipal Mayor, the Municipality of Burgos actively participated in the Ilocos Sur Province-Wide Clean-Up Drive along the national highway on January 23, 2026, starting at 6:00 AM, in celebration of National Zero Waste Month.
