School Year 2026–2027

H – Harnessing Student Leadership
Student leaders of SELG, BKD, and YES-O, together with their advisers, were oriented on the Student-Led School Watching and Hazard Mapping (SWHM) activity pursuant to DepEd Order No. 23, s. 2015, as reiterated through Division Memorandum No. 375, s. 2025. A designated SWHM Moderator led the activity.

A – Activating the School Watching and Planning Teams
The School Watching Team (SWT) and School Planning Team (SPT) were organized, oriented, and assigned specific responsibilities to ensure systematic and collaborative implementation.

Z – Zeroing in on School Hazards
The student officers, with guidance from their advisers, collaboratively accomplished Annex 1 – School Watching Checklist, identifying potential hazards and safety concerns within the school premises.

A – Assessing and Validating Findings
The SWHM Moderator consolidated the accomplished checklists and presented the results to the SPT and PTA on August 12, 2026 for validation and integration into school safety and DRRM planning.

R – Respecting Learning Continuity
Schedule conflicts and prolonged class suspensions due to weather disturbances posed challenges. However, the School Head ensured that SWHM activities would not disrupt regular classroom instruction, with appropriate coordination and scheduling.

D – Developing a Safer School Community
Overall, the activity strengthened student participation, teamwork, hazard awareness, and collaboration among learners, advisers, SWT, SPT, and PTA, reinforcing a student-led, proactive, and participatory approach to school safety and disaster risk reduction.

🌧️📚 PAPALLASEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

HINAY: LEARNING CONTINUES

Thursday | August 20, 2026

In view of Memorandum Circular No. 131 and the continuing weather situation affecting Pangasinan, Papallasen Elementary School shall implement HINAY (Ease-In) tomorrow, August 20, 2026, as our school-based response to ensure learning continuity while putting the safety and well-being of our learners and personnel first.

H – Huwag ihinto ang pagkatuto

Although regular face-to-face classes are affected by the weather situation, learning continues through appropriate, flexible, and manageable learning activities at home.

I – Iangkop ang mga gawain

Teachers shall provide learning tasks that are appropriately paced and adjusted according to the learners' situation, available resources, and prevailing conditions.

N – Nasa kaligtasan ang prayoridad

Learners and families are reminded to prioritize safety, health, and preparedness. Learning activities should never compromise the safety of children and their families.

A – Alalayan ang bawat mag-aaral

Teachers, parents, and guardians are encouraged to communicate and work together in guiding learners through their assigned activities and ensuring that no learner is left behind.

Y – Yakapin ang pag-asa at pagpapatuloy

Let us remain resilient and positive. When conditions become favorable, we shall gradually resume regular learning activities and address identified learning gaps.

🌱 WHAT HINAY MEANS FOR OUR LEARNERS

📖 Learning continues through teacher-provided activities.

🏠 Learning may take place at home using appropriate alternative learning modalities.

⏰ Pace and requirements may be adjusted based on the learners' circumstances.

❤️ Safety comes first. No learning activity is more important than the safety and well-being of our children.

🤝 Parents and teachers work together to sustain learning during this challenging period.

To our dear learners and parents, do not worry if you cannot accomplish everything at once. Take things one step at a time. Stay safe, stay dry, help one another, and continue learning at a manageable pace.

Papallasen Elementary School remains committed to learning continuity—flexible, compassionate, safe, and learner-centered.

“Kapag may unos, maaaring maghinay-hinay ang hakbang, ngunit hindi kailangang huminto ang pagkatuto.”

HINAY: Huwag Ihinto ang Nais na Aralin, Yakapin ang pagkatuto! 🌧️📚❤️

Stay Safe Today. Learn at Your Own Pace. Together, We Move Forward.

😇 *Learning Continues Amidst Class Suspension*

**Papallasen Elementary School**

**Papallasen Elementary School: Learning continues, even in challenging times. Stay safe, stay strong, and keep learning!** 🌧️📚🏫💙
