📢 UPDATING BURGOS’ LOCAL REVENUE CODE

The Local Government Unit of Burgos, Surigao del Norte, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Emmanuel N. Arcena, together with the barangay officials and heads of offices, welcomes the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Director Melvin Joy L. Yu and Party for the conduct of the Updating of the Local Revenue Code and the Rationalization of Local Fees and Charges Using the LFC Toolkit.

The three-day activity aims to review and update the Municipality’s local revenue policies and rationalize local fees and charges in accordance with existing laws and guidelines.

The LGU Burgos extends its appreciation to the BLGF Director and team for their technical guidance and support in strengthening local fiscal management and promoting efficient and sustainable revenue generation.

🇵🇭 FLAG RAISING CEREMONY | AUGUST 17, 2026

The Local Government Unit of Burgos held its regular Flag Raising Ceremony this Monday, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Emmanuel N. Arcena.

In his message, Mayor Arcena shared highlights from the recent engagement and the possible partnership with the World Bank, together with the mayors of Siargao, on the implementation of the Accelerated Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Selected Areas (AWSPA).

Mayor Arcena also provided an update from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) regarding the previously stranded vessel. The vessel has now been moved and is currently in Misamis Oriental.
