📢 ADVISORY | MDRRMO–Butig

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO)–Butig informs the public that the Municipality is implementing the directive of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur through Executive Order No. 005, Series of 2026, as adopted by the Local Government Unit of Butig under Executive Order No. 2026-01, Series of 2026 issued by Mayor Bin Khalifa L. Pansar.

📚 School classes in ALL LEVELS (Public and Private) are SUSPENDED TODAY, February 23, 2026, due to continuous heavy rains brought about by the Easterlies and Shearline affecting Mindanao.

🏢 Work in all government offices within the Province of Lanao del Sur, including provincial, city, and municipal offices, shall continue and is NOT suspended, subject to necessary precautionary and safety measures.

All concerned Local Chief Executives are directed to exercise proper discretion and implement appropriate precautionary measures to ensure the safety of government personnel, particularly those assigned in flood-prone and high-risk areas.

As of 8:00 AM today, 06 February 2026, the Tropical Depression "BASYANG" with international name "PENHA" is being monitored INSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

In compliance with the Provincial Order suspending work and classes due to the possible effects of Tropical Storm BASYANG, and as advised by the MDRRMO, all LGU–Butig tourism destinations and activities are temporarily CLOSED until February 6.

Public safety remains our top priority. We urge everyone to stay alert and safe.
