With professional product packaging and labeling support, plus shelf-life analysis to guarantee product quality, AK Bakery is now proudly serving sweet treats that are both market-ready and trusted by customers. This was made possible through the Innovations for Filipinos Working Distantly from the Philippines (iFWD PH) program of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), which empowers returning OFWs to start and grow technology-based enterprises.

Before becoming a business owner, Ms. Annalou, the woman behind AK Bakery worked in Singapore for over 12 years as an Accounts Executive. When her contract ended in 2024, she chose to return home, begin a new chapter in life through marriage, and finally pursue her passion for baking. Through iFWD PH, she completed capability-building training and later received innovation funding that helped turn her dream into a growing business.

Today, AK Bakery stands as more than a businessโ€”itโ€™s a symbol of resilience and new beginnings, showing that coming home can open doors to sweeter opportunities.
